  1. Why do you need IHU rings?
  2. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vinegar#Malt
  3. who will guard the jack ?? more jacks stole than any other dog.
  4. The winning birds name is fitting for this race 1 two remember
  5. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  6. So are you saying king billy was a cock?
  7. Do you have the cocks and hens split? Try locking old cocks in the young cocks boxes and take young cocks on a two mile trainer soon as you get back home put them back in basket and take them back two miles. keep doing this until young cocks are folding their wings from 1000 yards out to get into the loft. It looks like your birds are racing to your garden and not their box. This can happen if young cocks are allowed to have fun on the roof, treading hens etc. Give them a reason to race to the box.
  8. Our crates have to be labelled with name of club + how many birds are in the crate.
  9. Would it be possible to assign the birds ETS rings in the same way the birds are vaccinate in front of two witnesses. So all birds carrying the ETS ring would have documented and signed proof that the ring was assigned by two members and not just one
  10. Jimmy I agree with you 100% and it is the point I have been trying to make. Overcrowding is something I have never seen in a top winning loft.
  11. Thats the only way to get back at him knock him out of the results
  12. The best advice I can give to a newcomer is read how the top fanciers do it. I do not want to know how Joe soap feeds, trains, or motivates, his birds. I want to know how the man who is winning out of turn today (not yesterday) feeds trains and motivates. why? because he is the one that is winning.
  13. He went with a plastic liner expecting the worst. The thought that they were / or could be of any use to anyone never crossed his mind. It was full of the most beautiful pigeons imaginable. They were in absolute first class condition. Not counting the ones culled from the night before, he counted and stopped at 101! And still there were more. Beyt you all the tea in China that they were the most content birds imaginable! So why did he kill the most beautiful pigeons imaginable. PS I am still waiting to hear the names of todays top fanciers that win with over croweded lofts.
  14. He is a great fancier and I have read a lot about him but even he would not keep 100+ birds in a 12+6 and think it was good for them.
  15. So you are saying that 2000 birds in a space no bigger than 12 ft + 6 ft + 6 ft would most definitely be better of and happier than 20 birds in the same size loft? I do not see the point in continuing as I believe we are on different planets.
  16. one pair + two young to a box max that is my yard stick. You say you have explained there is no such thing as overcrowding so what would you call 2000 birds in a 12+6 loft because going by what you are saying the 2000 birds in a 12+6 loft would be better of and happier than 20 birds in a 12+6 loft.
  17. Why don't you ask about their health? Condition, contentment, and above all, just why in carnation is a bird stuck and restricted in a box, inside a loft, better off in any regard that a bird that has freedom, a place to defend and living naturually? If that was ture then the best birds we could own are the ones found on the street.

  19. The only yard stick I go by is results and what gets them. I do not keep them to look at I keep them to race. I have seen birds in shows pens in first class condition and they could not race to the end of the street. I have yet to hear a successful flyer that overcrowds his lofts. As I said before they need more than condition to win races. Did you ever ask yourself why the men who are winning week in week out only have one pair or one cock to a box?
  20. roland has overcrowding made you a successful flyer? if the answer is yes, then maybe you do know more than the worlds top flyers because they tell us not to overcrowed.
