true rab thats why the ets would be better to record your entries the club printout on a saturday would list all the birds you have home

a lot of these guys used to show but got that hacked off with their racers trying to compete with show birds or 1/2 show birds in race classes that they stopped going/competeing anyway this would not be tinkering as you put it john just ensureing that the birds were competeing in their correct classes as is what seems not to be happening nowadays at some shows i think these measures would increase numbers not decrease them and possably rekindle some club shows

that is still the rule but it seems that these certificates can be signed wheather the bird raced or not but if the bird is on a race result signed by the clocksetter and a witness at the time of the result being made then that would be cast iron proof of the bird raceing at the club after a race my ets printout is signed this prooves all the birds that you have recorded from the race just leave your ets running and recording untill its time to get your clock read :emoticon-0167-beer:

as said on here a list of birds timed should suffice and as most if not all clubs produce a race result sheet every week this would prove entry my idea of 1st 10 was prob a bit tough on members but it was only an idea

all well and good in a perfect world john but you know aswell as i that nobody can be 100% in selecting out dipped birds what happens when in the judges opinion he pulls out a bird that looks great and he thinks is too good to be a racer when infact that is what it actually is i or you wouldnt be too happy if your main candidate was discarded

with all this discussion about dipped doos etc etc why not have for flown classes that any entries must have been placed in their clubs in the top 10 of a race in the past 3 years this will drastically reduce the pool of birds that can be picked from but all birds should be guarenteed as racers one club i knew did something similar to this and you would be surprised how many members who dont normally show entered birds could this work

those who have put in the work have fitter birds so headwind or tailwind the fitter birds will/should have the upper hand best keep an eye out andy as your white ghosts will be hard to see in a snowstorm i will get a net out to catch any that fly by :emoticon-0136-giggle:
