thanks for the support guys , but a few mistruths going around. 1. the driver told me last week that the transporter wouldnt start BUT when it did it ran fine.Remember we stop & start at every club and there was no more problems,i offerd to have it looked at but with it having started 1st time every time it was told it was okay. Now remembering the vehicle was only looked at a few weeks ago where the tank/fuel line have been stripped & cleaned, it was given a clean bill of health then. 2.the vehicle was started on monday & moved because of the high winds to a more sheltered spot, then moved back again. No indication then of a problem. 3.the 1st the problem came to light was approx 5.30 when the driver arrived. 4.the mechanics/ boys at the transporter we confident that they would get the transporter to start,i can only go with the advice i am given , by the time it was apparent that it wasnt happening we had missed out on a lift from neighbouring feds.yes they were asked, yes they would have taken us,but being into longer races they had already gone/ were passed us. 5.it is not possible to go with other feds now ,i know of at least one club which has taken their pigeon for a training flight. i am as disapointed as every one else at leicester being cancelled, i am personally not looking forward to jumping my own pigeons next week.but and i stress i did everything i could to get a race for us this weekend. rhona
