the lad is only trying to give some sound advise which has been tested and proven! i'll bet if u asked your top flyers from around the UK they are all using a form of system not far from the quoted above to obtain not just results but super performances that most of us dream about. i understand the concern about lowering the immune system of the pigeon, now a days does it really matter as we dont see many pigeons on the results from inland racing over 3 year old now, so in my opinion go for it in a sensible approach and win as much as you could from them before you are wiped out by either poor race conditions, clashing or the dreaded raptor problem!... only my opinion.

we had very few losses when its was the amalgamation, absolutely first class racing... fell away in the final year when a lot of feds pulled out... 'lofts in favourable positions' etc etc, we all know it was the best doo on the day who won the race in this type of competition right up to as far north as aberdeen

time for fed officails to get there 'heads' together and put this kinda racing back into play, even when the west feds pulled out we were still getting birdages over 5000 birds! these birdages have never been repeated even at national level...

best racing we had with birdages in excess of 10,000 in some races, we were fortuante to win maidstone in 2001 with 9144 birds competeing.

Lawhill Racing Pigeon Club Open annual show will now take place on the 30th November 2008 in The Tangerine Club, St.Salvador Street, Dundee. This date has just been confirmed this afternoon having been double booked twice hence now the date above, despite rumours stating otherwise waffling around the Federation which we have obviously chose to ignore! This show was a huge success last year and we aim to make it bigger and better this year, with continued support by fanciers we can only move onto better things??? The line up of judges is nothing short of phenominal... John Proctor, Jim Benvie, Jim Anderson, Pete Penman... National winners galore. Will post a full list of classes etc later with times etc.

were not desperate but love to win races which is what racing pigeons is all about, does a horse trainer only educate his horses to cross the finish line, dont think so! but you lads stick to your old hat methods and it makes our job a whole lot easier... WINNING!!!

Only good honest pigeons make the result from the very finest lofts in Scotland regardless of loft position... obviously the wind will determine the winner, just because we are on the coast doesnt make it any easier flying 279 miles... just better doos!!!

John Duthie doesnt fly the YB National!

Dundee & Angus members always seem to do well at the SNFC YB National in any wind under any conditions... just check the results in recent years!!!
