  11. yo watch wat you are doing with the lights if its your race birds as this can affect the moult later in the new year. nothing wrong breeding early but i like to treat birds with wheatgerm oil on the corn and give a calcium aditive make sure you got grit available and water isnt frozen keep it changed regular when young birds are in the nest they need it .
  12. hi again,[ i didn't understand wot this mean ( where do you get your stock birds from ?) ] when i decide the type of racing pigeon i want, sprint or middle distance or long distance ,i look around to see which pigeon fanciers are winning at the distance i want to race from,so with me i like the sprint racing and have purchased birds from good sprint lofts-these are my stock birds that i will breed from and hopefully win with young off these birds. i have purchased birds in the UK as well as some from the continent-Belgium and the Holland for stock, and across there sprint is vittess. middle distance is mid fond ,and fond being long distance pigeons can be also bought from advertisements that are in our weekly pigeon papers. my continental birds are bought when i go to shows across there and friendships are made with continental flyers plus its great to get away for a break now and again.this year as well as blackpool i am hopeing to go to the new belgium show in late febuary then to the netherland show in early march. the weather here has got worse and some of the local roads are blocked with snow and the minor roads into houseing estates are only driveable if you have a 4wheel drive motor.the main roads arent much beter. CUP of TEA time see you later
  13. the bird looks to be in good condition thanks for the pics your loft front seems to be mesh probably because of the heat where in england our lofts are mostly boarded in.our new race season in uk will start in april to july for old birds and the young bird season follows on till september with a possible open race to finish off the season. our young birds are bred from january on as we get our rings early in january. the highlight of the closed season are various shows where allsorts of stuff for the pigeons can be bought off stands just like market stalls ,so the next show for me to attend is at doncaster where i will be buying some one drop, multi vits, and some nest felts .also for sale at these shows you can buy pigeons. the realy big show in england is at blackpool-HOMING WORLD SHOW OF THE YEAR a lot of people attend this show and stay in blackpool overnight as it is a 2 day event. what sort of events happen in morroco with the pigeons -where do you get your stock birds from - yours in sport terry blackpool show is late january
  14. radouani -great to hear from you again ,the heat in your country must make for different loft design as in england we have to protect our birds from bad weather.can you post a picture of your loft and maybe show us your winners, last year i sent 3 birds to the tenerifi one loft race -two were lost training but one got to the final race but hit a sandstorm after liberation ,they say that most of the lost birds would end up in morroco. by the way my name is TERRY

  22. great result michael but as they say lots of roads to rome ,sent 10 to lillers as our last race[open]sh-t result but got 9 out of 10 and drew some pools.but as i say its us alsorans that make the backbone of most clubs-happy to get our birds home but ecstatic when we beat the club champ -not that often but keep trying.
  23. i have been busy the last two weeks [got lights in loft]-posh or what. lofts been sprayed with antifungal ,walls wiped down ,painted out, floor dressing-harkers powder then covered with shavings -birds treat for cancer 5 days then multivits and today innoculated for paramix-nestbowls all cleaned and washed . birds looking well ,nearly ready for the off. been putting some wheatgerm oil on the corn and calcium tablets crushed and sprinkled on corn. how do you start the preperation for pairing?
  24. has that mealy got snow shoes on? bakes your montage looks great
  25. radouani how many lofts are in your club and what sort of system do you use to time your birds -in england a lot of pigeon fanciers are changing from manual clocks to ETS systems.but the price of corn for our birds seems to be getting too expensive.
