  9. tenerife one loft race is always good to watch during the winter months as they put a lot of videos on and birds not activated are for sale after training period if you fancy a flutter.

  11. lots of blue sky hence the temp is only 9.5 but the sun is out so consett birds should get a good start. TERRY
  12. All nehu rings when assigned to a bird are also assigned a loft number these loft numbers are on record at the nehu and are prefixed with UN FOR UPNORTH=WD FOR WEST DURHAM=DC FOR DURHAM COMBINE you get the idea, this loft number can be seen by club sec with the relivant club master and traced.
  13. so george hope you learned from this -wats wrong with short training tosses and build on them .my first toss was top of the football field other siide of the loft, few here then next field over for a few -let them settle in the basket and dont be in a rush to toss them out -building blocks george make strong foundations.

    Su Strays.

NO STRAYS IN THIS WEEKEND- so must conclude that the pigeons liberated at consett left the area for home -hope you all had good returns.
  19. this was an off shore training toss and on the night over 500plus birds where seengoing up and down grand canary-wrong island -lots lost at that toss.
  20. WDA AMAL up at 7.30 no wind on site at leicester south west on route GOOD LUCK
  21. how many of your birds had wing stamps ,how many had telephone address rings on -and dont say u cant afford it ,i think it was clairs pets where i got 100 tel stickers for 8.50 ,these are stuck to my ets rings both wings are stamped three times each side -it works. and i can tell all the scottish fanciers that since they started useing consett as a release site that any strays in this area are given back to transport drivers on site ,but like all towns if your strays join the feral birds in our areas there is nothing we can do -,but there isnt as many people keeping pigeons as there was 5 years ago but lots more roofs to sit on. WHAT WE DO NEED IS-permission to transport strays back into areas with our race birds.the WDA will not allow any member to box a bird and put it on a transporter to be liberated nearer its home if we are going that way.that is why when i send birds back into scotland via scottish transporters i ask if they will accept the strays.todate this year i have sent 19 home this way reported one gb dead and found the owner of one su stray had bought it and lives in the north east and collected it from mr address. yours in sport TERRY

  24. wiley keep your eyes open- homeing world adverts ,went with E Goodyear one year picked his bus up at hull ferry another yeay went with the irish lads great trip they picked me up at scotch corner services its a long travel when you drive and go through the tunnel. If you do go the corn exchange trip is good to go as there are loads of squeakers for sale there and the natural breeding station is usually visited [order befor if you want them and they will be ready or there may be none for sale] SO AS LONG AS YOU CAN GET A LIFT I AM SURE THERE WILL BE A TRIP FROM YOUR WAY YOU MAY HAVE TO TRAVEL TO A PICK UP POINT.
