Speaking as a member of the SHU if this post is not "moderated"on the grounds that it is not pertinent to the subject being discussed on this thread it will lead certain members of the forum to assume thewre are double standards being applied depending on your point of view!

Well I for one, even though we have crossed swords on occasions Fifer, am disappointed you did'nt take the job when you were offered it.

In all the time I have been a member of pigeon forums the post of yours Fifer that I have quoted above is in all honestly the most tortured I have ever read!! Honest to goodness Fifer I find this very sad.

To show willing the newly elected President should publlsh in the Pigeon Press the names and loft locations of the members of his new fed and announce the names of the Shu committee who will undertake the visual inspection of this extremely small feds members lofts. Aftrer all it should'nt take long. He should also produce evidence that he resigned from the Lanarkshire fed before their AGM and that he is not in breach of that feds rules and liable to suspension from that organistion. This would allow us to move on in a spirit of peace and harmony.

In all my long years in the doo game I have never ever witnessed such a thing have you Fifer? Don't you agree with "me" that this is the final embarressment for the Shu with regard to our standing amongst the greater pigeon fraternity in this country

I think the troble in Fife is a perfect example of what is wrong with scottish doos Methilman. There was actually no need for it to be on the agenda "fees and birdage" are on the agenda of every club/fed agm. There is also no need for the status quo to be considered unless somebody had the gumption to propose it and somebody else decided to second it. But leaving that to one side how can a fed that has just split in two, try a couple of years later to do the same thing over again. If as I have heard the "status quo" was not proposed and seconded at the first meeting it should not even been considered at the second meeting the three proposals accepted at the original meeting should have been the choices. Oh but wait a minute that had already been done at the first meeting. "Confused you will be" All ordinary doomen like you and I can do Methilman is enjoy our doos and leave the rest of of it to others who seem convinced they know better. Believe "me" I know I have been there.

Careful Fifer lad paranoia is a very powerful negative force. i only keep doos to send them "across the water" if i could'nt doo that I might keep a few because I love my birds but I would not get rid of my distance birds to keep inland sprinters. There is no greater thrill on earth for me (well I can think of one but I think she is making a movie on location at the moment) than timing a bird in the "gloaming " from the national. If you have not done that so far in your pigeon life I really do hope you do it in the near future. All the best for the coming season Fifer

don't know how they managed it they had nothing like 14 members (never mind 22) when they "walked" after the Glasgow Fed AGM. Maybe they have arranged for 2 members to fly from each loft, sounds daft I know but these people are desperate desperate people would put nothing past them

it is called freedom of choice Tammy and if some guys send their bests doos to the national then some other guys might find it a bit easier to win some of that splendid sponsorship cash the fed got for this race. Which to me is the more important point. A generous sponsor comes forward and then without his knowing the race he thought he was sponsoring gets completely swamped by duplication into a different race. Hardly going to encourage future sponsorship is it.

so just to make this crystal clear for all the forum members you are saying your old fed owned the transporter completely ouright no money or anuthing?
