Bart lad just for you no quote should be dead easy to read. The current President of the Shu is on record in the public press saying he has no problem with members of the Shu being members of the RPRA so whats the problem. We are a fast dwindling and dying sport and some people seem determined to kill it off as quickly as they can, with their petty disgraceful behaviour towards others. I am personally also disturbed by the blatant naked racism some of the members of this forum are showing. I find it all to uncomfortable for civilised living. Believe it or not some of us just want to race our doos!!!

Frankie boy, i wish you all a quick return to the shu fold as i believe a proposal is being drafted that you can only be a member of one organisation,will that not force your 40 plus members,some who are still in the shu to jump ship,one way or the other,if this proposal is passed next year could this damage your membership.or do you think it will increase it,and damage the shu membership if they choose the NFC racing to the SNFC." If this is attempted it will lead the Shu into a legal mire as it quite obviously breaches the human rights act. Why not let people race their doos and race your own and enjoy the sport?

It is just a pity the vote of the majority so narrow;y failed that day as it could have allowed the club to stand on its own without interference from others and just look what has happened since. Still all we can do is race our birds and try and rise above the numpties who are more interested in the politics

Hope your dads operation will put him back to his "finest" all the best to him for the coming season To say that all clubs had a bad season is a bit naughty but Gareth the SNFC the main club in Scotland was able to have a full programme the NFC by comparison was severly more disadvantaged. Nationals from the south coast of England were to say the least problematic. Also the distance they wer eventually allowed into France curtailed their normal race programme. Grow up Alf you know as well as I do that the lottery was not set up to provide daft doomen with relatively large sums of money for fancy electronic timing systems which record that they came first or for that matter last in any particular pigeon race(sometimes when they are lying in their beds on a saturday morning, crazy I know but this is actually FACT it happened in my own club last year). Is this doo racing? Pigeon organisations should be donating to charity not robbing charitable funds. The only grants awarded to pigeon racing should for the likes of an old man who needs a new dookit or the like. Generally speaking this sort of money should be reserved for poor folks struggling with their health and similar.

" not that smart Tubbles the act clearly states that clubs with less than 30 members are not affected by the act. The RPRA IS NOT A CLUB IT IS AN ASSOCIATION OF CLUBS. The individual clubs who are affiliated to the RPRA who have less than 30 members could ignore ETS on these grounds alone. The RPRA would not dare say boo to clubs who fall into this category who choose to ignore ETS, as they know as well as I do that in law they would not have a leg to stand on.

Joining the RPRA is a bargain £4.50 transfer per sheet £1:00 compare that to what we SHU members are paying. In the old days ALL members of the SNFC were members of the RPRA. When fancier numbers rose in Scotland they formed their own union. Sadly lads and lassies we are now going back the way. Yes it is sad but true, lets be honest all the union does is provide clerical support for a few months a year and in a few short years we will have to admit we can no longer afford to pay for our clerical services the way we do at present.

in some ways this could be a smart move what with the split and people packing up every year in a few short years both clubs in Scotland will be struggling to get any number of birds for channel racing at all. Last year was an absolute disaster for the SNFC. So whats the answer? "Tell you what lets have another inland national" it won't be long till most of their races are so called "inland nationals" As I say the SNRPC getting a foot in the door with the NFC might just have been a smart move.
