They could do that i suppose but it would be unlawful and if anybody affected by such a rule complained to say the "awards for all" organistion that the Shu enforced unlawful discriminatory rules in order to victimise individual members I wonder how many Shu clubs would receive grants in future. Infact if I have understood the rules correctly they might even ask for monies to be returned. Is "me" right in thinking the Shu recently received an award? I agree with the current President of the Shu who is on record as saying there have alwas been many Shu members who are also members of the RPRA and there is nothing wrong with that. Its just commomsense really. negative discrimination would leave our organisation open to publc ridicule and would not exactly help to promote reconciliation within the sport in Scotland.

What you on about Gangster lad the RPRA clubs are Scottish clubs based in Scotland but members of the RPRA also its not just scotsmen who fly a good doo in Scotland Mr.Rankin down in Larkhall springs to mind!

banning people for any reason from anything to do with the "doos" should be a last resort NOT THE FIRST RESORT there are so few doo men left in Scotland to effevtively "ban" a guy because he beats you every week' well it is just pathetic absolutley pathetic. Never never never be afraid of anyone elses "truth" lads and lassies. You can't bury anyones "truth" by proscribing it you will only delay its publication. Did you never think Fifer that the problem might be the guys running the Shu not the lads from Cumbria. That being the case and using your own logic presumably the Shu should not be able to take part in the discussions either!

as a passionate scot and a member of the shu i've got to say sammy lad i am a little bit perturbed by the "emotions" behind your post. At the end of the day we are all just lads who should be wanting to race our doos not be continually watching our backs to see if someone had managed to get us banned from racing our doos. Incidentally the term "Sassenach" is a scots highland Gaelic term (not "gaylic") for southern lowland scots. Strange Sammy but true trust "me".

gangster there has alwas been a lot of RPRA members in Scotland just as there has alwas been a lot of RPRA members in Ireland and in Wales its ridiculus to suggest the main pigeon association in the UK should refuse membership to pigeon fanciers in the UK. showing doos is good fun but before you post what I have quoted you should make sure you know what you are talking about. I have had a few great racers from just such a pairing. enjoy your doos!

you are probably right but i would bet a lot of money you are a lot younger than "me". Years ago the unwritten law was time no more than 3 (unless it was a channel race) because it would put off decent honest guys who loved their doos to 2rub their noses in it" and I am afraid to say that is what is coming trust "me" this will cause alot of lads who look after their doos to call it a day. Sad really sad, but thats the way it goes hopefully these guys wiil join clubs who employ traditional timing methods better that than to lose them from the sport all together.
