    IS IT POSSIBLE TO ?

Definetly possible Tammy lad if I remember correctly Knox Bros of Dunbar won a Scottish National with a hen called Summerfield Princess round about 1972. Least I think it was that hen it was certainly a doo from Dunbar that put in a tremendous performance from the "national" and it was its first race of the season.
  2. The reason your fed exists is because you ran away when you lost the vote at your own feds AGM and of course because the ex/current President of the Shu needed one, Think we can leave it there don't you doosrus
  3. I heard a man with a small dog walked passed when the meeting was taking place and the small dog is now the honarary secretary of the club/fed/homing union/prime minster of uk !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. Said before on here that this will come back to bite us, people are dying because there is not the money for the equipment and drugs to treat them and pigeon men are spending thousands upon thousands of lottery funds to provide enormous profits for individuals and companies by buying electronic timing systems. Sooner or later the right journalist will get a hold of all the info and do a right hatchet job. You can just see the headlines can't you - "Lottery fund wastes thousands on flying rats"
  5. think the way you lads have been treated Wings is diabolical take it there is nothing else club wise? The people who did this should be ashamed and if these clubs advertise yb sales we should all boycott them as these people are not sportsmen and we should have nothing to do with them.
  6. don't know Frank might have to arrange for a fancy dress outfit first!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. I've said it before on this forum we Shu members are being made to look the laughing stock of UK pigeons. It's all so pathetic!
  8. agree doosrus but you and i both know that certain people are treated differently from others and thats where it all falls down
  9. It was common knowledge Rose that a large number of the fife lads were no longer willing to be members of the Shu and a compromise was required and unfortunately it could not be reached but I say again. How much does a ring cost? because that what it amounts to. If people are not able to fly their birds in a club exactly how are they costing a club (or fed) money. So how much does a ring cost 25p? x how many? 100 members say. How many rings each 35 say? thats a grand total of £875. The same "organistions" have received TENS OF THOUSANDS OF POUNDS free gratis from public funds! A i say we need a bit of prespective here!
  10. The East of Scotland fed was the same Fifer but in reverse they voted to go to the RPRA but some members refused to accept it did they pay their fed dues did they get suspended by shu for not paying their dues ? On a lesser scale a similar thing happened with the Glasgow fed some members who funnily enough have now been joined by THE PRESIDENT OF THE SCOTTISH HOMING UNION did not pay their dues because the vote went against them should they not be debt suspended? The whole point is treating everyone the same no matter if you like them or not when you start making up the rules to suit yourself thats when it all falls down.
  11. funny enough doosrus the scenario you have used about the guy going on holiday with the money actually happened in an organistion I used to be a member of many years ago. Even funnier no one was banned and no one was debt suspended. You and I know this is not so much about secrataries stealing money and more to do with a parting of the ways. We should either accept this and let people get on with racing their doos or try and work to bring the ever dwinding numbers in both groups back together. What we should not do is to try and penalise members of our organisation the shu who have never been debt suspended by anyone, for been members of what is undoubtably the premier pigeon orgnisation in the UK the RPRA.
  12. Know your heart is in the right place Rose but I think we have to get this in some prespective. Some of these guys have been banned by clubs who are affiliated to the shu but who had indicated before any decisions were made they were no longer willing to be members of the shu. So the rules say you can't be a member yet these guys want people to pay fees to an organistion they are de facto no longer allowed to be members of! Another point is some of these same organistions have received thousands upon thousands of pounds from public bodies yet they are trying to crucify a few individuals for a few tens of pounds. "me" personally I think its over the top. Sooner rather than later they will not be enough doomen left in Scotland to have a good aruguement amongst ourselfs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
  13. Actually fifer I don't have any problem about anyone knowing how I vote at agm's of course you'll have to find out who "me" is right enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. Well said Bruno its refreshing to get an answer as honest as that believe "me" I know exactly what you mean!
  15. on which particular motion do you mean fifer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! To be serious for a minute it is not my intention to cause anyone any discomfort if you don't want to reveal the way you voted on certain issues thats fine I respect that point of view I'll leave it there Fifer. All the best fifer lad!
  16. Point taken fifer no offence genuinely interested but i ask again was the answer to the two questions Yes and Yes?
  17. sorry fifer I am a bit of a thicko was the answer to the 2 questions Frankdooman asked Yes and Yes?
  18. What has this got to do with guys who are members of the Shu and members of the RPRA and have been for 10 or 20 or sometimes 30 years or more, especially some of the fanciers who are interested in show birds are you going to penalise them because you have suddenly decided they have been terribly bad people for the last 30 years. I presume you will be banning people who go to Blackpool in January after all its the RPRA'S SHOW OF THE YEAR. You guys won't want to join us down there will you. What I find incredible is the guys posting this stuff don't realise how offensive they are being to fellow doomen in other parts of the UK. Find it all a bit embarrassing to be frank.
  19. you are the one who is being absurd Bruno either that deliberately obtuse I am talking about existing members of an organistion who would be targeted by rules to exclude them from that organistion because they are also members of another legitimate organisation. Would that be discrimination Bruno or would that be ok really interested to know what you think about that. One other thing Bruno I know you think you are pure dead brilliant and the rest of us need to be protected from ourselves(by you obviously) but if you seriously think the vast majority of the people reading your posts can't see through you, you are kidding youself on!
  20. "Er, wrong yet again; Nothing at all to do with the way you put it 'belief' " - Bruno think your even "baffling" yourself now Bruno lad it was you who mentioned "beliefs" not "me", but hey if the cap fits. You say I am wrong to suggest that an individual member of the shu has the right to be a member of the RPRA and that is up to other members to decide using the "voting system in place" Let me ask you this then if somebody put forward to the SHU AGM a new rule that members of the SHU were no longer allowed to be muslims say and the motion carried would that be ok.
  21. I am afraid this one falls into the same category as the suggestion that spreading lions "schite" from your local safari park will stop your neighbours cat making a mess in your garden. It won't help much more the pity but i suppose if your neighbour is one of those who complains about your doos from time to time it might keep them away!!!!!!!!! Seriously though have lost a couple of "crackers" (as the guys selling doos on this forum would say) in the last fortnight nothing more soul destroying
  22. Bruno you know I am right, I know am right and everyone reading these posts knows I am right why say otherwise. The guy who posted "this nonsense" as you quote is the joker who is a member of this foum who suggested it would be a great idea to ban members of the SHU from being members of the SHU because they are members of the RPRA. is that a good idea Bruno I would be genuinely interested in your opinion? There was an old guy who I worked beside years ago long since dead, who used to say to people sometimes "bullshit baffles brains but you don't have enough bullshit for my brain" I know what he meant now. Let me just ask again this is the 21st century?
  23. QUOTE closed shop; agreements under which you could be dismissed for refusing to join a trade union at your work place. " - What union would that be then BRUNO THE SCOTTISH HOMING UNION "It can be acceptable for the state to restrict your rights" - is the SHU a state now BRUNO? Police state or what? "This means that an individual cannot be compelled to join an association" - but the point here is Bruno any rule passed by the Shu would be to compel people to leave an association in other words " negative discrimination". I honestly cannot believe you are trying to defend the guy who posted this nonsense. Here is a suggestion from "me" let people who want to fly their doos in an SHU club fly their doos. Let guys who want to fly their doos in an RPRA club fly their doos. And let guys who want to fly in both clubs fly their doos. For gods sake what century is this. Is their something I am missing or is this just not a reasonable positiion to take. Just because someone is English or a member of the RPRA does not make them a bad person.
  24. Its the Human Rights Act I was meaning Bruno as I have stated before on this forum, tart it up any way you want and it still amounts to discrimination and you are completely and utterly wrong in your reading of the act and I have to say your bias is showing itself again, Infact you have attempted to turn the meaning of schedule 12 on its head. The individual has the ABSOLUTE FREEDOM OF ASSOCIATION this post does you no credit Bruno lad. The Act does not allow organisations to CONDEMN by association the many decent honest people who might be members of the RPRA infact the exact opposite is true. In this case it is pigeon fanciers who choose to be members of the SHU or RPRA or NEHU etc etc. Are you seriously trying to suggest that people who are members of the RPRA i.e. the vast majority of the members of this forum, are somehow "contary to the beliefs of Shu "people". What a joke! Your post is an absolute embarassment to you as a moderator ,to you as a human being and to "ME" as a member of of the Shu. I would take this opportunity to apoligise to forum members who are members of the RPRA OR NOT for the comments expressed in Bruno's post
  25. that my friend is the £64000 question
