  1. do explain Bruno we are all interested to know
  2. Think we have all posted on WOS before Bruno its just that some people like tp ignore what it suits them to ignore. The rules of the Shu are changed by a motion to the AGM being discussed and voted on, although there has been the odd occasion when that was not possible because all of the top table ran away. As i have also mentioned before you do not need to be a member of a fed to race your doos and even if you are in a fed that fed does not need to have a delegate to be a fed. To have a delegate you need to meet the criteria laid down in the rules of the Shu. Bottom line WOS does not qualify to have a delagate. Plain simple and straight forward not difficult to understand. Or is it?
  3. depends was she eastern european by any chance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. "excercising" twice a day not a bad thing at the right time for the right length of time trust "me"

    corn storage

Exactly Frank a beautiful golden brown trout complete with red, purple, blue and silver speckles goes a dreadful looking "whiter shade of pale" yuk!!!
  6. depends what races you are wanting to compete iin, ts certainly a bit early for twice a day if you are wanting to compete in the longer races later in the season. Then you can train them round the loft twice a day or even one toss in the morning and an hour round the loft at night no problems

    corn storage

men have been harvesting and storing grain since well before the time of christ and back then they had no plastic and no steel. be careful with plastic it can make grain sweat to, so make sure its in the proverbial cool dry place. In actual fact wood is a great material to keep your grub in but make sure its good solid natural timber AND NOT TREATED.
  8. agree to an extent sammy but a good doo will alwas be a good doo wether it was an untrained late bred or not. Latebreds will "doo your head in ". Train with the next years young birds but most of them need to be cajoled along the road first. I would train them from as little as a mile 2 or 3 times, then 2 then 3 then 4 then 5 then 7 then 10 miles, before you give them the big stick with your young birds. But as i said before if its a really good doo you could start it at 40 miles or 50 or 100 miles even and as long as its fit and well you'll get it
  9. A very famous fancier of yesteryear had a fantastic pigeon who put up terrific performances from Pau when she was sitting 2 days on eggs so it depends on the individual bird really
  10. so you will !! think you've been baking they special scones to help with your pain management Jimmy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. so whit is he then a short wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. Hi Expat 1 did you receive an answer from Dougie and Poacher to your perfectly reasonable question? Just interested would make the whole thread clearer to "me" if i new the answer!
  13. If they are particularly fat and unfit you might get this till they get a bit fitter but to be on the safe side you could alwas take 3 or 4 for a quick spin from 15 or 20 miles say and see what happens if they perform particularly badly get some ornicure and treat or you will lose the lot.
  14. probably depends on the quality of the birds in your loft in the first place but if you had a bird that had scored a few times "over the water" and it needed baytril only a dafty would not give it baytril even if it could only be used for breeding for the rest of its life it would be worth the bother.

  18. I can remember when people used to spend lots of time discussing their "cracking wee blue pied hens" or whatever was their favourite bird. Happy days.

    SHU +ETS RINGS

probably depends on how good your doos are as well taking the "rubber" off a strag to let the owner know its entered another loft might doo for a few.
  20. I think we all know who you are on about but there is nothing to be done about them. As you say Richard needs help so he is in a bit of a predicament even if he wanted to do something. All I would say is we can all remember the school bully and that in my opinion is what is happening on this forum sometime, you don't agree with their point of view so you have to be dealt with. Of course we all remember what happened to the school bully eventually!

    found

or maybe aberdeen or fife or maybe ayr and forth bridges or maybe we should get together and try and get our doos back home safe and sound
  24. baytril is the best thing since slice bread as far treating serious systemic diseases of pigeons are concerned if your not interested in treating this sort of disease then of course if you are not particularly concerned about the health of your birds you could try cider vinegar or natural yoguhart but if they are ill, really ill, they will die.
  25. 84 miles fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
