  1. If she will pair and lay let her breed, I don't think it would do any harm as she will only breed when ready.
  2. To equal our performances of last year and hopefully better them and also to improve our results in Fed.
  3. Mike, don't disagree with your last statement some of the prices being asked for mediocre birds is extortianate to say the least. Think some people play on the friendship within these sites.
  4. As I said I am not knocking anyone the painters are top class fanciers, but I know fanciers who kept birds racing till a good age because they did not breed the right stuff so all I am saying is there is no gaurantee that even though this is a top racer, that this will breed winners so in my opinion and my opinion alone it is a bit pricey, but others will disagree with me and someone may buy it and it will churn out winners, I hope it does but this forum is here to have an opinion and this is mine and that is not knocking the Painters or anyone else.
  5. Mike, Pigeon is a top class racer but to be never bred off, I think and its only my own opinion That £125 is a bit much, may never breed nowt. I don't want to upset any one as the bloodlines are there but we all no even the best racers don't always produce.
  6. Never, racings silver breedings gold
  7. Van Reets without a doubt

  9. It's easy if they don't trap on race days or play up when out, only thing is you could not repeat them on here

    System

Widowhood cocks and young birds natural but may have a dabble at darkness next year. only race 12 cocks and to me to get the best out of them consistantly has to be widowhood

  16. No pigeon is alike and no youngsters are alike so just try them until they don't do anything then is the time to stop
  17. everything paired up week after Blackpool
  18. Money making scheme if you ask me.
  19. Depends on what you want them for, if you want the youngsters for breeding purposes I don't think they are ever too old just put the eggs under something else so that you get healthy robust youngsters, as for racing purposes when the youngsters off them stop winning
  20. Seems like hard work to me, pigeoning should be a hobby not graft
  21. I used it with youngsters last season for the first time, only advantage I think is that if it rears its head you will still be able to race yours, in the early 70's fanciers panicked when this appeared but now they are a bit wiser and know that it does not do your birds any harm, a friend of mine went to a vet in the 70's and the advice he gave him was that if you get a bird with it throw it in with the others, them that get it will have it for 2 weeks max and then they will be immune for life and also some of the children from them will be immune but not all.
  22. May be Van Dorning, not Belgiun this is Joe Van Dorning from Preston
