Many thanks for your views, my own view is that there should be a rule stating that in an entire clearance sale there can be no reserves, I know the seller could just take it out and sell it privately thats his choice but at a sale all should be for sale to the highest bidder.

Putting up subs to £10 not a problem really but he states that transfers and postage would be free, a few years ago they put up rings so transfers would be free didn't last for very long before we had to pay again will this happen again?

If you beat someone every race they cannot beat you for the averages how can they gain back the time behind you if they never beat you. I have been secretary of clubs and do not see how this can be correct

Well if you bought everything they say does your pigeons good there would not be enough days in the week to give it to the birds and you would have to win the lottery twice over to pay for them, I think its up to the individual to pick out what they want to use if any and then its trial and error, the companys are not selling them for your benefit so dont think they are doing you a favour, they want your cash, there are many fanciers using natural products and winning just as much as those using these products.

The only thing I have against some of the 1 loft races is that some of them use adverts that are not what they say, eg a team of 3 for £250 but in fact you only get 1 the others are on standby in case you lose the first one and if at the end you have all 3 left it costs you more money a lot more, the only fair ones too me are the RPRA one and the Scttish one as your whole team does fly in the race for the amount stated.

In 1979 with youngsters my brother won 3 x 1sts and I did not win a 1st but on the occasions he beat me the total time was 23 minutes but on the times I beat him the total time was 40 minutes so I won the YB averages so you do need to get his times and distances.

I would appeal but whether that will change it I don't know, there may be a time limit as with races which with a race is usually 7 days from the publication of the result. I think with something like this if there is a time limit it should be at least a month as not all clubs have meetings regularly. I have been on the other side of the coin were I was deemed to have won the averages in the fed and nothing was said until the fed presentation when the trophys had been engraved, even at that late date I told them that they could have them but they would have to go and speak to the fed secretary and sort it with him, they declined to do this so I never found out if they had actually beaten me or not.

Jimmy I used it this last season but it was teabags from the health shop also used Dandelion ones as well, don't know if it was beneficial or not but we did win 8 x 1sts & 7 x 2nds in the club and 1 x sts, 2 x 2nds in the fed.I was advised to try it by a local fancier who normally uses it but did not use it this time and he flew crap even he does not know if it does any good and so he says he blames the birds this year, but food for thought.

Rose you can only go as far as your organisation goes, unfortunately the majority of pigeon fanciers don't work Saturdays and so they are in the majority and are not really bothered about the early libs. We had a young bird race this year were we only fly 47 miles and they were up at 08-30 I worked that night and only got to bed at 04-30 and there was also a cock up with the lib time and we were not told until the birds were actually home.My wife woke me up with the words the birds are up at 08-30 but the secretary says you will have missed them anyway when I looked out of the window there was4 birds on the loft.
