Managed to finish painting the loft saturday, sunday was a bad day weather wise so no birds out, only light drizzle now so I'll put the bath out and give the shed a good cleaning.
Looking after a mates birds this week, its no problem he hopper feeds but when he looks after mine my feed is measured so its a bit of a pain for him with the birds spread over 4 sections.
Now that most have finished racing we now have to select what we will keep through the off season, how do you all make your selections on what to keep,is it on performance, breeding or making up empty nestboxes etc.?
Merseyside Fed's last race this weekend Kempsey(90-110mls) this gives anyone with later youngsters a chance to get a race in.I stopped mine 3 weeks ago as they had raced midweek aswell as Saturday, but next week the fed have an open race from France for lads who like the distance.
With all birds parted carrying on with the disinfecting of the baskets, galley pots and nest bowls before storing them for next season.Anyone still racing good luck in the nationals etc.
