Came into my loft in Law today

Pigeon released in Law at 0645 this morning

Just st arrived in with my birds tonight in Law South Lanarkshire

When is your first race and how long are you getting them to fly around the loft with the flag up ?

Loft fly for minimum 3 weeks to loosen them up then choose your days as its too cold just now jmo

I was pleased to see her when she arrived as she certainly dodged a bullet today and credit to her for managing to get home

What am amazing video and more importantly what an astonishing outcome

Tossed by 8 spare hens at Cumbernauld today as I was up that way and let them go at 1035. I arrived back at the loft at about 1130 with 6 of them back. Got another one about 2 hrs later and the the last one at 1730 with only 2 tail feathers left to her name I am assuming that Percy must have had a nibble ? Looks like she will sit in the loft for the next few weeks

I put birds on this system in April and they moulted like typical darkness youngsters Regards Andy

Your youngsters will be fine if you put them on it and from the advice I have received on this site it's simple in that you need more darkness than light time and the more time ( weeks/months ) then there is more opportunity for the darkness system to take more effect

I would also have some opening in the perch section to allow the birds to exit that section and as previously posted enter the loft via the trap in the other section

I would personally trap them to the nest box section
