  9. I can't believe that people think they need to install their trap inside the loft, the trap would always be deemed to be a part of the loft whether it protruded 2ft. or 6ft.
  10. Sadly I don't think the general public care too much about our birds, have you seen the numbers that watch the live cams. at Percy nests around the country, if you read their posts they can't wait for the next kill to be brought in Sicko's.
  11. I remember buying quite a few of them for my kids
  12. John, I think you must agree that no rule should be open to interpretation as then it is not a rule
  13. I don't think you are right there John, The confines of the loft include traps, if you had a trap 6 foot extending from the front of the loft it would be OK as long as the bird was trapped on entering, but I must say the SHU and the RPRA have poorly worded the rules on this point as it is open for discussion. The WHU rules state The ring may not be read before the bird is confined within the loft, Oxford English dictionary on Confine, Keep shut up
  14. Alex, I'm sure if you make the spuniks or whatever type of trap/entrance with facility for the pad on the inside of bobs or drop in you cannot be wrong
  15. I thought that was a very unspecific reply to your question
  16. Why have ETS if you have to catch the bird to swipe over the pad?

  18. A few years back when I had bantams, when I let them out in the morning I'd throw the corn down outside for them a few minutes later I heard this weird screeching and a bantam hen and crow were rolling over locked together, when I got there the crow had nearly ripped the top half of the beak off the bantam, I tried super glue but it didn't work long term, they crow continued to come for feed so I thought I'd better dispose of it, It was pretty grey in feathering and obviously quite old, I felt a bit guilty as it was only going for the easy option, a bit like myself and I don't doubt the bantam hen was the pushy one as they are quite feisty
