Would be more active June /July when feeding young, up to 5 in a nest, open loft suits my birds have very few losses here in West Wales, shutting them in for the winter would leave them unfit to escape attack

Could be because it's finer and easier to form a nest, have used it before and found you have to watch as it can tie around y/b's legs

That's the one bees use to block up holes etc. on the hive I know it's used for medicinal purposes but not used it on the birds
