Hi Bill, You're right regarding dropping first flight after laying second round eggs, the rest is a bit variable regarding temperature and different strains , some will not drop the next flight until the first has grown fully but others will drop the next flight before therefore leaving a gap, Hope this helps, Bill PS. about a week to grow to full length
