If you have standard widow boxs remember to put a half brick or similar in so the hen has an advantage....sometimes an extra front can be slotted in so they can see each other but not get at each other...once they start nodding the divider can be removed. Keeping the bowl away at the start allows you to bring it back and calm the cock down later on. You could always leave the yearlings until next year and race them celibate....keeps them cocks calmer in the basket.
Not an old yin but a photo of a couple of auld yins Jimmy (Dal) Dalgliesh on the left and my old boy Grahamie Dalgliesh on the right I cant rotate this bugger
We need to suffer P*** racing from Reims cos its 500 mile? Surely no Davey? Surely better racing, good returns, good entries, spread results and an all round good feeling about the biggest race is the goal?
Everyone should be sending but we are not consistent Davey...quick to condemn some racepoints as P*** because of line etc while others that have had many attempts and many poor races, like Reims, continue regardless?
Cmon Davie....next ye will be telling me it's nae advantage racing frae the east up the east coast ....no matter to me I will just have tae suck it up and get on with it
