I lost a 1st Secta winner, a hen wae two nat tickets and four 2yr olds that I was settin for the gold cup at Marlborough wae the SNFC which was a duplicate for the solway and then never seen a feather frae three entries at Messac!

Like Jamies ideas and would not like to see any less than 4 channel races. I use the inland nats as prep races as they are duplicates wae the solway and if I am going I might aswell be in the nat as well, tho no much chance wae the water doos I have,. After a poor year last year as regards losses my distance team is decimated so might have to go to the inland nat, be it one or two, wae the sprinters and chance my SNFC arm there. The gold cup is the holy grail and should be looked after very carefully, I get the impression that there are loads of fanciers who set their best birds up for the likes of Ypres! They should be encouraged to send their best to the best race!!! JMO

Did you get notification of a meetin discussin the race prog wae time and date on? If so where is yer grounds for appeal? Sorry Danny but thats the way its is mate! You should have went, along wae the majority that seemingly didny gan, put yer hand up at the appropriate time and then accepted the result! In the Solway we had the same last year when the west section members( me included) had some appathy and didny bother travelin 20 miles and went EAST. Loads of members wer spittin the dummy sayin this and that but they all raced wae the fed and it was just the same as most years!

Quite agree wae a postal vote for a nat institute where the members have to cover hunners o miles to be there Danny but not for a FED meetin!!!! You say it should be a club decision but in the end you are affiliated and convoyed by the Lanarkshire Fed!

Am no in Lanarkshire Danny, but a meetin for latecomers doesny sound right?
