Even after the recent SHU loft pinpointing with GPS exercise, there is still no accuracy within pigeon racing for the very point you make. Sometimes there are multiple transporters at the same site. They park and set up for their release. One may be on the co-ordinates, but the others do not move to where it was; they are set up and liberate from where they are. Our racing distances are therefore just guestimates and our velocities are based on these guestimates, certainly no accuracy here. Some may be racing to short measurements other to long ones. What if the guy racing long on that particular race has his pads inside his loft, he is losing out to the guy racing short with his T3 in his hand when his pigeon alights on his garden bench right beside him. He takes the rubber off it and clocks it saving another 10 yards because he is not even in his loft. Remember reading about an old time fancier whose pigeons done exactly this every week. Pigeon racing will never be accurate and it will never be fair. Just enjoy it and stop all the worry over this and that or you will end up being administrated out the game.
