    My understanding of this is that not having a full curtain indicates a canker attack, normally when in the nest. Very few are totally clear of this. The effect on the pigeon when racing would be like running for a bus on a freezing winter's morning. A definite drawback when racing, but I fail to see why it indicates internal damage. This is mostly thought of as the main internal organs. Could you expand your theory?
