A lot of really nice trophies there, bound to grace anyone's display. Well done with your preparation of them John. I have seen some trophies left in a very tarnished condition, but these look excellent.

I have read that you should wear loft clothes and once out the loft change into others to prevent the transit of the bloom and causing this secondary infection. What a luxury, however, if you had that luxury, then the loft clothes could be put into a laundromat instead of being taken home.

Heard someone mention once that they could buy a ..... for £1, but put a label on the bottle with a picture of a pigeon on the label and the cost jumped to £10. There is most times a cheaper method than one specifically directed at pigeon fanciers. For this reason ETS ring prices will not drop. ETS was accepted on the grounds the rings could be read by all systems or some such similar agreement. This has not happened, but I believe the Confederation are attempting to address this. Cost could be the next thing to tackle, but it is better to tackle one thing at a time sometimes.

New technology or items always come at a premium and it is not until the research has been covered financially that the prices drop. I think it will be quite a long wait at those prices. Very few have that sort of money to throw into a peregrine nest.

The SHU pay a fee to the Confederation so it is funded. The SHU and the other Unions are funded by their members. As John said, around 100 to make it a fair trial at Fed level, so it would still be expensive for the Members if the Unions adopted it.
