  1. Good morning all.
  2. Happy birthday.
  3. Well done. My results are crap as usual, but for me the only way is up. On the positive, I have the start of a team with some little experience to race south. After a disastrous season north two years ago, possibly due to a loft change, both new loft and slightly different position, I also have the start of a new north team.
  4. Safer to isolate and perhaps give a year off depending on condition. Once through a good moult is time enough to put back on the road, or else keep to short and expected to be easy races, condition wise.
  5. Happy birthday.
  6. Good morning all.
  7. I have both books. Great read and not easy to come by. A bargain for someone.
  8. Good photos.
  9. Well done.
  10. Glad you all had a good time. Great to see the photos.
  11. Well done George.
  12. Happy birthday.
  13. Good morning all.
  14. ANRF Quiz Night 2018 Ayrshire North Road Federation Quiz Night was held on Saturday 3rd November 2018 within Mauchline (Kilmarnock FC) Supporters Club at 19.00. We would like to thank our Panel, Fr Eddie McGhee, Chair; Paul Swindell, Distance Exponent; Ray Night, Sprint / Middle Exponent and Colin Leask, Poultry and Cage Bird Nutrionalist. We would also like to thank the fanciers who attended and supported the Federation. I’m sure everyone enjoyed their evening out socialising with all who attended. Fr Eddie asked Colin Leask to open the event by giving a short talk regarding stress and nutrition in general terms. Paul Swindell gave an outline of his methods and then Ray done likewise. These talks were very interesting and the viewpoints of the panel were varied for obvious reasons. There followed a question and answer section. This was also lively, no less because of the varying views of the panel members. The raffle was also a success however I did not record the winners. Thanks to Mark McCann for his assistance. There was an auction of donated pigeons, this year’s late-breds and next year’s young birds. We would like to thank the vendors for their support. Many thanks to the auctioneer, John McWhirter. Many thanks to Sanny Owens and Mrs Nibloe who provided the purvey, supplying home baking, salad and finger foods, teas and coffees. Fr Eddie McGhee presented the trophies to this year’s Prize Winners. Fraserburgh Trophy, J L Dumigan; G Mcculloch Memorial Trophy, Thurso Winner and R McCarrell Trophy, Best Average Fraserburgh and Thurso, A Lawrence; The Stagecoach Trophy, Best Average Three Longest OB Races and Two longest YB Races, J L Dumigan; The Superdoo Trophy, Federation Champion Club, Valley North; Young Bird Average, J Robertson; Old Bird Average and Combined Average, J L Dumigan. Thank you to Mary Thomson, SNFC PRO for photographs and Press Report. I would like to thank the staff of the Mauchline Club for their assistance and for keeping the guests refreshed at the bar. There were also several fanciers who assisted me by covering the entry whilst I was busy elsewhere. I hope that I have not forgotten anyone and if I have, it goes without saying that I thank them also. Andrew Kyle

Sandy McDougall and Sanny Owens for handling and penning the Winners and Sandy for supplying me with the Prize Card information. Mick Hilland organised the Pen Sale and Terry Markwick for bringing his wares to sell at our show. I cannot forget our Young Volunteers, Philip and Victoria Evans who worked together selling the raffles. I hope that I have not forgotten anyone and if I have, it goes without saying that I thank them also. I now fully appreciate the work that goes into organising a show, even of this small size and I commend Janice McDougall for the work she normally carries out at these events on our behalf. Even the day before departing on holiday she ensured that I had the relevant paperwork for on the day. Andrew Kyle
  16. I hope you all enjoy yourselves.
  17. Good morning all.
  18. Not going.
  19. Welcome to the site.
  20. Good pics.
  21. Tongue in cheek Robert. A big difference between 2000 and 200. I am bringing mine into order. The problem for the North Road is when we have an influx of members. They have to take rings from their previous year's organisation since they were ordered from there, but when I order more to cover them and they leave us, we seem to be left with the excess. It will not happen again on my watch. As you say, the SHU has plenty. Main point, I hope the pigeon is returned home safely.
  22. Great news Billy.
  23. Happy birthday.
  24. Good morning all.
