My thoughts on a dropped tail flight: I've never seen a baby with one in the nest, it seems to happen a week or two after they've been weaned. With that in mind I believe it to be stress related and not necessarily a weakness. I would let the basket be the judge.

IMO if you both had say 4 on the drop, you using a T3 & him using ETS your first pigeon on the clock would be at no disadvantage, couldn't say the same about your next three pigeons though. Whilst going to box to box to time your others in he's would more than likely all be on the clock. If its just firsts your after you'll be on an equal footing BUT if prizes won count towards being highest prize winner he's got the edge on you.
