Its hard to say but you will get lots of knocks in this game, you just have to roll with it, if you stop and think about it, it will do ur head in.

The only thing that is different between a sprinter and distance pigeon is endurance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
In truth a sprinter has an hieghtened ability of homing as it has to be in the loft quicker and has less margin for error. A pigeons ability to home can only be judged in the basket, so many modern pigeons have so little ability as there are bred from generations of non racers, bred by non fanciers.

He races a reasonable team gangster but nothing like Koopman and Vredeveld and he gives them a run for there money. -
Within 2 mins of me posting that Mr H from Lanarkshire phoned to say that he purchased a Theelen hen that had bred him 2nd from 7000b 7th from 5300 and 7th from 5200 in the Lanarkshire Fed, that gives me a real boost that. Stuart

Its now 1 and 1/2 years ago since we had a very enjoyable auction at Newmains with Raymond Moleveld. Im was planning to return with 60 pigeons in October/November as we have alot of guys now flying our pigeons esp the Aarden and Theelen lines north of the border and i guess it would be nice for us to bring the birds to you rather than you buy blind and have to pay couriers. What do you think? Stuart

The Frans Zwols Janssens i have in my opinion are tha fastest pigeons i have ever known and they will take off as you just cant stop these pigeons winning. Frans has fantastic results as does the fanciers who have had them from him in the UK and Holland. The base of these birds are the Harm Vredeveld love Pair of Boy and Queen which are mostly Camphuis based janssen. Frans Ace pigeon from last year Amor scored 1st from 19,000b and then 2nd from 16,000b. He is some pigeon and there is only 1 son from it in the UK and he is sat his first pair of babies -
Just out of interest how are the Roland Janssens doing on the Road in the UK?????

Joe 61 Write what you will but the truth is you couldnt hold a candle to me or Raymond and the results that we have achieved and bred for others against 400 birds?????? Your sadly mistaken the West of England South Road Combine is one of the largest in the country. We have top quality stock that have won for us and many others, we fear not to put our reputation on the line every saturday infact we thrive on it. We are not the best but its our aim. Why did we form a partnership, well we get on extremely well and have similiar goals and we know that together we will bred a stronger strain and most of all we have 100% trust in each other. For UK people who know and have met Raymond will know what sort of person he is. May i add that many others have 100% trust in us including many good members on this site. Maybe me and Raymond wined you up through envy or some form of jealousy, but for me im very happy with our progress, our strain, and the pleasure we have brought others which was evident at our very successful auction in Blackpool. As you say, old happy days

Some of Hollands best fanciers came and bought at our sale, you think they would have had the decentcy to stay awake :
-
Worlds number 1 fancier would be Gerald Koopman, from Emerveen in Holland. Stuart

It is with deep sadness that i report the death of a dear friend Kieth Nethercott from Keynsham Nr Bristol. He was a straight talking fancier with a superb record from 500-700 miles including 2nd Open NFC Pau, 4th BBC Palamos and Many 1st Combines from Marmande, Dax, Thurso and Lerwick. He will be sadly missed by many. Im only glad i got to walk around Blackpool with him on the sunday morning, it will be a fine memory to remember you by Kieth. Best Regards Stuart Wilcox

Its true that the Jan Aarden family can be most beautiful, but the real key is to ensure that every generation flys the distance and performs. On my travels i have seen some super distance lofts but ive noticed that in the real top lofts, the birds are not so piedy and attractive. By contrast ive been to some Aarden specailists who havnt a result to there name and there birds look beauties. So in conclusion the basket never lies regardless of family My best Jan Aarden hen is a quite simple Blue Hen and if she is what i think she is she will make quite a name for herself.
