Roland, get the committee to look at this and decide whether its a goer!!!! We need to appoint a co-ordinator for each sale and start to recruit donators now, many could enter a ybs from there winners as they will be pairing them up soon. Stu

I would say its simple Chris, ideas and requests are put to the committee, they decide on whether its an appropriate avenue and then make it happen. i.e. you may request that funds are used to produce a video that can be used to highlight the hawk problem whilst promoting the sport which is mailed to schools, committee vote yes, get costs and budget and produce!!! I guess thats the sort of thing!!

I could be busy now with the South Of England Sale Lot 1 N Templer Lot 2 Crowley & Green Lot 3 G Inkley Lot 4 G G Cooper (he owes me one) Lot 5 and so on. only 36 to go :) I recken Gareth could produce something special for Scotland and Ant for Wales, how about the North

Roland Blackpool is not the best place to sale pigeons, how about taking the pigeons to the people, ie organise 4 sales in Scotland, North of England, South of England and Wales, we can have a team for each and recruit top pigeons from that area and offer them where they are strongest!!! Max 40 birds at each sale??? Just an idea. But theres one thing to think about, if you get 40 birds from Scotlands finest they will make the most money in Scotland and the same for Wales etc, now is the time to get these birds bred! Stuart

The pedigree gives you a guide to the type of distances and races that a pigeon may suit.

It must be good business when you can buy two pigeons for £50 each, dont race and sell the children for £100 plus!!!! I just couldnt do it myself, some have more front than Brighton.

Mate if you need help on this contact Arnie Tonks from the West Midlands, im sure someone on here will help with his number, he had a similiar problem when he erected his loft, he used the animal welfare regs to good use and managed to prove that it would be cruel to relocate the birds. Im sure he will help you. Stuart

Lets just get behind and see where it takes us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would prefer to fly Tarbes International or National to own back garden, sat there alone with a cold beer and the birds twittering away overlooking Dundry Hill. Stuart

So on that note you disagree with the Barcelona Loft in France??? I have never heard anyone say a bad word about there set up and there aims to win the Barcelona International with an English entered bird??? Its a One Loft at the end of the day. Stuart

Doesnt really matter what a few think, the vast majority of people who have dealt with me know that i always do my best and i try and deal with the right people in terms of honesty and quality. In Raymond Moleveld i have found a good friend and partner and in the likes of Aad Van Berkel, Ewout Van Den Weijdon, Arien Verreckt, Peter De Haan, Castricum Verwij, Harm Vredeveld and Frans Zwols i have found dedicated gentleman who are a credit to the sport. This to me highlights how unconfortable pigeon fanciers are with change?? We have a fragmented sport full of small fed, small prizes, half filled transporters and little PR, could we change it for the better, probaly not as we would allow it. Somebody had pigeons flying for the first time in lives last weekend with the BBC at Poiters, probaly the fartherest some people would have ever had one of there pigeons fly and im sure the interest and excitment was immense, its what the sport is about, maybe the NFC should have a one loft race in Wiltshire (bang in the middle) to allow fanciers all over the world to compete with the NFC (There is a thought :) My only comment to all it is i would have preferred to see all the birds flown under the name RPRA One Loft!!!!

Tell you what lads these Van Berkel/Eijerkamp Silver Shadow Van Loons must be doing some serious winning around the globe, since i un-earthed there true source i.e. Aad Van Berkel from Rotterdam i have been bombarded with inquires from UK, Ireland, Malta, Dubai, its amazing really!!!!! Stuart

You got it Bob It was Hermana and Hermona, nestmate who moved to Jim Biss, he called one Lama and the rest is history. they won 1st BBC Palaomos and 1st BICC Barcelona between them. a 3rd Clandown win 1st Open NFC Pau. What a line of pigeon
-
Somebody has already mentioned the fanciers, funny thing this pigeon didnt even have a name, just a ring number such was there modesty, his two children were in fact sold to a high profile fancier who changed there names and much spoke of there origin. No its Tarbes with the NFC could be 6 or 7??? Stuart P.S. Cheers Vic, i know that fanciers like you as many of the old timers around the Mendips dont think a fancier is wearing anything other than shorts unless they time a good un out of the distance!!!! So im hoping to go up in a few peoples estimations!!!
