If nobody minds i would like to comment on this subject I have over the last few years placed many adverts in the BHW regarding pigeons for sale, sometimes i place the ring number and sometimes i dont. At the start i didnt as i was worried about security and people breaking into my property with a ring list to hand, after that i placed ring numbers next to birds for sale and noticed that i had a better responce. However in the last two season i have gone back to Just Coluors and sexs after all the problems on the continent and as we are now an established name and people have trust is us then it has made no differance. Remeber when you buy blind you are blind and you are totally at the hands of the seller, people know that and trust is key to selling so you have to be whiter than white in my opinion and then people will put there faith in you. After every advert i get many phone calls, people say i want this one and that one please, i often say ok but can i offer a bit of assisstance, Lot 1 and 4 would not make a good pair, but 1 and 6 would, the reply is often i dont like the look of lot 6????? At the end of the day its just text in a book!!!! There reply no i will stick with 1 and 4!!!! I often now dont put the ring number and list 24 pigeons for sale, a cock and hen from each pairing, but in reality i may have 4 the same way bred, that way i can select the best possible pairings and pigeons for those people who put there trust in me, i offcourse explain this from the out set, and i always take great pleasure in recieving that phone 10 minutes after the courier has arrived. You have to as purchaser put faith in the person you are buying off and seller you should cherish that trust and always respect it as a reputation can be priceless. Stuart

Behind all the huff and fluff you must give derek his due he knows how to train and race those ybs to ensure a good few make the final event, i dont think any other loft can match his record, esp this year... Stuart Wilcox

Having plenty of winners reported from those Dodgy Dutch Open birds sold at £20 each that everyone gave me so much stick over. Including 2nd club 700b 2nd Fed ???? for a member of the site, always nice to bring fellow fanciers a bit of luck. Stu 8)

Give the lad some credit these are hot and very up to date bloodlines, check out PIPA and you will see how much there parents would make. Yes paperwork means little but if you wanted to introduce such lines this is an ideal opurtunity at price to suit. My mate purchased one from Bosuas Kannibal and it cost him 4200 euro!!!!!!

I cant comment on any other studs or breeders but we have found that you must treat you breeders hard, put them in open avaires during the winter and dont over medicate them. If they posses a small level of Bacteria, Canker, etc then the ybs will develop a immunity from a young age as they will over come these low level infections. If you treat to the point where every breeder is completely clean, then the ybs will have no immunity as they also will be clean and the first time they are faced with infection they are over run by it. Thats why continual feeding with medicated pellets is so dangerous. Stuart

Whitenight, that doesnt suprise me as the Eijerkamp Family have an excellent racing record.

Owen I agree 100% i believe that all pigeons should be tested on the vtality, health and homing ability and this can only be done with judgement and the basket. Stud often means unraced and untried and thats the problem, granted Raymond Moleveld is a stud but we do what we can to race all the lines we sell and as much as possible test the families and weed out the weak ones, for our own benifit and others. With the Welsh and West of England Combines now going a fair way across Southern England (Probaly 20,000 plus birds) and the Midlands and NW combines down to the coast and the South East boys down the leg i fear tomorrow could be a real tester with regards to clashing, lets hope there is a bit of co-ordination!!!! Two young lads have started in our area recently 1) is 7 years old and another is 10, i bred the 7 year 4 ybs and the 10 year old 14 ybs, the 7 year old won his club last week with 250 birds flying. Stuart

The post has a bracket on it to take a flag. The far left hand sections are for ybs, near too for widowhood and the smaller loft is for long distance
-
Cheers lads, just got the left hand side to sort out, im having another loft as below built 24 x 8 for the stock and hens
-
Finally finished the right hand side of my set up, hopefully now the birds will feel more at home. Stuart

White Night i always believed that not were the Silver Shadows beautiful pigeons but they would win esp crossed as they are inbred and i was right!!! Just look at the quality in them

Find yourself someone with a good terrier who likes a beer
-
If he donates one out of his good vredeveld hen i will snap it up for sure. Stuart
-
Who are they bred by mate???
-
If i only flew inland i would keep 30 ybs and 12 widowhood cocks, but in reality the channel can be harsh and you always need to have one eye on the future. Stuart
-
Breed a pair from everything in the loft and then push them to the limit and you may be suprised
-
And believe me i would like a smaller team and hopefully with sound breeding and quality pigeons i can do that in the future!!!! There is many ways to rome, i have chosen my path and others have chosen theres, the game is who gets there first.
