  1. I Know they are very helpfull and kind people Paul and the corn they sell is very good, i won loads using that stuff and i will be off out there tomorrow to get some more now all me Versele Laga has all gone. Do you ever travel up to Richards? i might bump into you sometime perhaps.
  2. Well I did have a good look around, met most of my club mates lol, had a chat to Richard Andrews of Court Farm so was like home from home to me, normally i only have to travel a few miles to see that lot. I did look out for you by stuarts stall about 1pm Tony so if you saw a strange looking man loitering with an even stranger looking woman then that was me! I bought another pigeon! a grandson of "Toey" bred by Tony Mardon which shows how weak willed i am when i see something i like so wont be going to no more shows and sales as it costs me too much and ive got too many pigeons as it is. :-/
  3. Oh hahaha I didnt think you would see this so looks like I best wear my comfy trainers.
  4. Bought a ton of Versele Laga with a mate of mine from swainstons this year and cant see it was any better than the corn from the aforementioned COURT FARM of Sutton-st-Nicholas, HEREFORD. Excelent stuff from there I must say. P.S if you read this Richard I want a free bag of breeder at least hahaha as it is technically spamming : ;D
  5. Will be there all being well, cheers, paul. Mark. P.S dont forget to buy me a pint, I will be the bloke with the ugly woman remember lol

    WEB CAM

Web cams are ace, video conversations are best you dont have to type just speak. Mind who your talking to though if the Mrs is in earshot hahahahaha, you could get into trouble!
  7. Thanks sapper, he might be only 15 but hes a bit better with a camera than me by the seems of it. Yes Redfox he does keep birds, thats one of his in the pic's. He started with a batch of YB's I bred for him to race and now he seems to have claimed all my stock birds too lol.
  8. These were taken by my son today and thought they were worthy of posting.
  9. Actually your not the only one there Bruno, I for one couldnt agree more about that, How many birds especially Y.B's have been ruined forever due to having been run round the loft in a bid to gain a few seconds? My young son started racing this year and my advice to him was let them bide when they are showing signs of stress, something he did stick to, which on one occasion cost him a win, but as I told him its better to be last than ruin a good bird and second wasnt such a bad thing but if he had, had ETS then that would not have been the case. Cost will come into it but people will find the money, they always do, I will be no different so let it happen I say and give everyone the chance to make their own minds up one way or the other. It wont be compulsory and at the end of the day you still have to get them home so it will still come down to the skill and abillity of the birds and fancier combined and not a piece of electronic equipment.
  10. Hell MALVERN thats even closer! I live in HEREFORD but I used to speak to lots of people in WORCESTER all those years ago so you never know.
  11. Hahahaha good lord above! I hope it was a lower case "L" or some members (litterally lol) might get a complex. My name goes back to the late 70s when CB radio was the "in thing" It was my "wind up handle" and it has stuck with me ever since, well on the computer at least! MSN, Yahoo pool, here on this site and god knows what other strange and wonderfull places I have visited on this thing lol. How embarrassing, I really must get more imagination and broaden my horizons!!!! Hey Pigeonman! You might of heard me years ago hahaha, I best not mention my real "Handle" just incase you lived in Worcester then too lol
  12. Easier said than done that! My club has applied twice for a grant and been turned down on both occasions. Lucky ones that do get it should pass on their secret.
  13. I will be using the wing and a prayer method! With any luck the birds will use their wings and I will pray for them. I hope it works it will save me getting out of my deck chair lol.
  14. Once again, being the kind samaritan I am, I have agreed to post 2 pairs of Martin D'Hondt's that a friend of mine is offering forsale. They are all pure Matin D'Hondt's and are bred down from his original Ian stafford stock and are a breed that have done well for him over the years. Sorry I can not remember the lines as I did not write any details off the pedigree's but if there is any one thats interested feel free to PM me and I will find out all the info I can for you. He is asking £25 per bird which is cheep as I know he paid hundreds for each of the stock birds.
  15. Thats my 15 yr old son to a tee! He was ready for the next weeks race by a tuesday lol. People should only leave when there is no more enjoyment in it for themselves and not before. Clubs should do more to help juniors and pensioners that are finding the cost of change too much to bare, as they will have been the ones keeping clubs going through good and bad times.
  16. Hiya Pigeon man, I had a good day, thought it was well layed out too, plenty of room to move about and as you say everything you needed was there. Took my son and 2 other kids that are interested in pigeons with us and they thoroughly enjoyed it. I see someone had posted about it being to expensive at £5.00 for entry but the plus was kids under 16 went in free and that gave the 2 local kids that traveled up with us a free and enjoyable day out, which is almost unheard of thesedays, good on the organisers for that I say! I'd sure go again anyway.
  17. Thanks Invincible Spirit, seems we will be off down to have a look at that. Mark.
  18. Thank you very much for that Doostalker, I bumped into a friend in Telford today who mentioned it, couldnt remember the date and location for sure. Will definatly go and have a look at that then. Mark.
  19. Anyone know of a Pigeon Show in Aberdare Saturday 11th November?
  20. Thank you all for your help, the information was passed on this afternoon, he was very greatfull for your help and sends his thanks. Mark.
  21. Was Scotch King a barless blue then? If he was I bet these aren't them as they are all Dk Cheq's.
  22. I think I'd like to buy a hen of the vale lines off you, if you got one to sell. Very nice birds them I have to say.
  23. Thank you very much for that Billy, sounds about right to me and I will pass this info on to him tomorrow. I know the son told him they were terific distance birds for his father but didnt know too much other than one of them won the same race from france (not sure of the race point) 5 times in a row. Once again thank you for your info Billy, it will be well appreciated and give him a lead as to what to research. All the best, Mark.
  24. Thanks Andy good idea, I really cant remember his name but will find out tomorrow, the loft and pigeons came from a village in the cambridge area so maybe someone might know something round there.
  25. A friend of mine has just bought a loft and pigeons, included were some nice looking Dk Cheq's which are apparently Scotch kings? All he knows about them is they are long distance birds, due to the fact the owner had died and he bought the loft and birds of his son and thats all he could tell him. I was wondering if any of you knowledgeable members here could throw any light on the subject for him as he would like to find out a little about the origin Etc. of the birds he now has. Any info would be greatfully recieved and passed on to him. Many thanks in anticipation, Mark.
