Been out of showing for a couple of years, PJC, does the BSRF still exist ?

So he decided to clash with the Edinburgh show instead ?

I wonder will the organisers of the 'big' shows ever get together and try to settle on dates to avoid clashing. This weekend, I believe, there are 3 major shows taking place....Edinburgh, Dublin & Bridlington. This must be a bit of a headache for the dedicated show racer people. The only major show that doesn't clash is Blackpool !!

Nearly agree with your numbers for 10ft section JonesyBhoy !! ....but he's talking nearly twice the number in nearly half the space...disaster waiting !! Think of the birds welfare...not how many you keep !! Quality, not quantity.......an old adage, but sure carries a lot of truth.

Totally agree with Jonesybhoy......you put 50 youngsters in a 6ft section and you can guarantee losses will be great.....why not think about their welfare and give them a chance.

Using the Barker method.....12 birds in 8 x 6 section " " " " .....15 birds in 10 x 6 section Agree with Uphallhen room is the key. When I had the show racers, my team of old cocks was housed in an 8 x 6 loft...there were 9 of them !!

Take a look at his pedigree.....pretty awesome !! And agree with paddymac...Jan Aardens will breed well into their twilight years. Best I ever did was years ago, I purchased quite a few pairs of direct Dordins all about 10 / 11 years old...no failures..all bred..and bred 1st prize winners too...I think the best was 12th Open in the NIPA.

The Toulet may be a museum piece, but it still has its' part to play in modern day pigeon racing....purely on a cost effective basis. Let's be honest, a cheap clock for a new starter will probably be the only cost effective thing they encounter !!
