  1. You've got it mate Have had a week of the old manual dish-washing....it's playing havock with my hands !!
  2. Lot of rain last night, cleared this morning, nice day now, sunny spells, little / no wind, bit cold. Got electrician in...finishing off wiring for new kitchen...glad when its all over !!
  3. Feel sorry for you JakJak....he put on a couple of birds to sell them, and we've ended up arguing about colours...shame !! If you want to talk about colours / genetics so bad...start a new thread.
  4. Tend to agree...don't want either sale to suffer. If we set this sale ( Heros Sale ) back until later it shouldn't suffer too much because it's for YB's next year, not birds that are ready to go now.JMO.
  5. If BLUECOCK is running a sale on another site, that's alright, best of luck to him. I'm sure King Billy wants his proposal of an auction to be on Pigeon Basics.
  6. Is BLUECOCK's sale on this site or somewhere else ? Like Pigeonworld, I haven't seen it on here.
  7. Best of luck, folks.
  8. If memory serves...Smith, Croston & Smith purchased direct Van Geel stock birds from the Louella stud when the birds were still part of their breeding program. Big money yes, but Louella sold them !
  9. It's very simple...don't buy 'em !! Let someone else have the opportunity. Perfectly OK for Louella to sell them like this.
  10. Any chance this thread can be locked into 'Latest Forum Activity' so it doesn't get lost in the ether !! Feel it's very important. OMO.

  12. Great idea....unfortunately as not starting back into pigeons until next year I can't donate anything, but will be more than interested in buying something !! Really pleased that the pigeon fraternity is, once again, not seen to be wanting, and will show its untiring help !!! Excellent opportunity once again to promote our generous side. Well done to all. Yours humbly Paul Chatterton
  13. Thanks for the heads up on this on Patty Bhoy
  14. Defo you should check this with Micko..from memory there were three different words (spellings) for zero. Google Irish translate if you can't get Micko Cheers Paul
  15. You don't find time....you make time !
  16. Agreed, I have no problem using racing men to judge .
  17. On a couple of occasions we have engaged 'racing men' to judge show racer classes. If somebody complains about it, I simply point out that 'showmen' would not come to judge...that soon shuts 'em up !!
  18. I have 2 x 5ft fluorescent lights in 12 x 6 section, also 2 x low energy lights ( on time switch ) and 1 x 7 watt automatic night light. Everything bought from B & Q.
  19. R.I.P
  20. Had mine tested .......comes from my tap !!
  21. Fine comments Phil. One of the hardest things to do is locate judges who are willing to travel, especially to far flung locations !!
  22. Good clean water
  23. Cracking pair of pigeons mate
  24. Hi Noel Welcome to the site, and I know you'll enjoy your time here. I can only assume the weather is better where you are than it is here in Donaghcloney !! Damp & cold Cheers Paul
  25. I understand what you say......but the social side of a show comes naturally from those attending. What I am looking for, is for fanciers to give an input that would help me, and other show organisers, so I can ascertain what would draw people to a show from an organisers point of view. At the Dunoon show we were always asking exhibitors what we could do to make the show better, and on more than one occasion we changed it accordingly. We place a high priority on what people want so we can make it better. By doing this, the show should attract more people, and your priority of meeting up with old friends and an opportunity to make new friends would naturally be in place .
