My wife & I were blessed with a DS baby some years ago, and he was the apple of my eye....daddies 'little man'. Unfortunately we lost him at an early age to a congenital heart defect, which went un-noticed. Part of me envies you, believe it or not......all babies are special, but with DS, it goes beyond that !! I believe this type of 'trading' to be an absolute disgrace. If what you say is true Gangster, your mate should chase this to the utmost. A lot of fanciers place a great amount of faith in these so called 'big boys'. I take it he had to have some sort of license to auction these birds, so could trading standards be brought into play, let alone having him for fraud, which I believe this would be.
