Hope things go well for tomorrow. Enjoy yourselves. :emoticon-0167-beer:
  3. Sad news indeed. Sympathies to you and your Family. RIP Russell.
  4. OK folks seems a few requests in today which is great. How about a FINAL PUSH and let Ian get his work done. If you don't want to put a request on open forum, I'm sure he'll be glad to receive it by PM. Come on folks GET THOSE REQUESTS IN !!
  5. Nice and neat. Well done.
  6. Must admit I had exactly the same thoughts Walter, but it can't be a surprise because pigeon clubs are overcome with members who won't bother, just benefit from the work of others. This would be an example of same. I would be in favour of a reserved release of the Survey results.
  7. By the way Rainman, a great question to instigate a great & enjoyable discussion !!
  8. Johnny Kirkpatrick indeed was a great & respected fancier. It is amazing that a single pair of pigeons(Bricoux) could be pedigree linked to all his great racers. Not only was he a great racer, but a noteable breeder surely.
  9. Take a look at some of the UK greats : Gil Duncan, Mr & Mrs. Newton, J.J. Horn, Ron Hallam, Tom Larkins, George Corbett, Ken Aldred, Danny Challis, John Palmer, Billy Parkes, Johnston Eagleson, Arthur Beardsmore & Ron Williamson. All excellent fanciers. Their ability is un-questionable. One thing links them all....... Remi 'George' Busschaert.
  10. Ah. Can see the error ! If you take out the word YOU in the last line, and replace with THEY, does that remove any inference ?
  11. What on earth are you talking about ?
  12. What on earth has Jimmy Saville got to do with this ?
  13. So is your openly homophobic attitude !! What a statement to make on an open forum. Take a look at the literally hundreds of millions of pounds / dollars Elton John has raised throughout his professional life. If the Laws of the Land dictates he is eligible for such an award, well fair play to him. Rod Stewarts' award is for his services to the Arts and charity. Good on ya mate. I'm sure all the charities you both support would add their humble thanks also.
  14. Haven't purchased from them in years. Having kept an eye on them from time to time, I think they're a bit expensive for something that is possibly imported from Far East. OMO.
  15. A new club would be the easiest way to suit those interested in having a local club. Duplication would be an option, but we'd rather stand alone. Thanks mate. Thanks mate. We'll give it a go anyway !
  16. The craic used to be mighty I can assure you.The club at one time was situated in a building at the back of a pub. On Friday night after race marking we all used to adjourn to the bar and discuss the important matters, such as......when's the best time to cut Blackthorn stick !! LOL LOL Happy, happy days.
  17. It is with a sense of disappointment I report the demise of the above club. Yes, membership figures were low, but there are very simple ways to get round that, so that a few members can get their birds away. Donaghcloney HPS was formed in 1942, and we still had an active member to this day who can remember attending the club with his father. It is a sad time indeed. The club HQ was situated on the premises of a local retired vet and farmer and all was well. I could leave my house and be at the club in literally 3 mins. On the way home from the final meeting held last night, I resolved to do something about it. I made a cup of tea for myself and the 'Memsahib' and got down to work. I resolved that I would try my best to form a new club. At present, the 'working' name of the club is 'MIDWAY H.P.S'. Hopefully things will progress favourably . I'll post all details on the site to keep you all informed. Paul.
  18. Give Alex Wight a ring, maybe he could help ?
  19. Would that be ALL show judges, the majority, 50/50 or just a few ? If they find a 'fret' mark, is it a positive or negative ? What does finding a 'fret' prove ?
  20. If you've used it, what do you think ? Good Bad Indifferent
