what the hell is happening to our youn birds never seen losses like this before ?

I will have some of my top janssen stock birds for sale soon two being direct son and dtr off full brother to hans eijerkamps commander bond also they are g.children of 007 james bond.i have paid a few thousand out for only the very best but now feel its time to let a few go to regain somethink back from them, if interested p.m me for more details as these are hard to find janssens plus they have all bred winning pigeons.

Yes ur right mark,very good fancier,with top pigeons.

agree with silverwings ,dont train them in packs,make them home by themselves by single tossing, they not only home faster but they learn there own path and leave the rest behind.pigeons are flock flyers so you nead to break there instinct by single tossing.See the difference in them then.

yes john as the best still and has some bettewr than louella has.i bought some from john mellor off some of his best stock but i couldnt keep a youngster off them and they never got furhter than the 3rd race.ime not knocking them as i loved the birds but felt there was somethink missing somewere. i sold them on and i think he has expierienced the same thing with them but as i have said there top stuff in my eyes and a credit to john mellor.Les

Hi paulo i have a pair of red fox janssens which i have missed ringing in the nest,if you would like you can have these two youngsters for breeding off next year,they will be ready in a week,its upto you ill only keep them myself as they are too good to cull.

Jack i think you should be writing books on widowhood as what you have said is good advice,i once knew a man who learnt me widowhood at the age of 13 and i was winning now ime 34 have a full tiime job plus a family and know how to fly birds but also try cutting corners with my birds now to save time ,but your advice is good advice and a lot would learn from you.

When i was on the allotments i always flagged 1 hr morning 1hr evening and fed them accordingly,they were amazing winning to 1st combine and getting 5 or 6 widowers together every week,since flying in the back garden and not beeing able to flag my results have dropped by 60 % and thats flying the same birds,you have to treat pigeons like athletes and work them and when the weather gets warm you will see super form on them,without work you will never be consistent at combine level .

Definatly janssen pigeons not van den bosch bud,should be good pigeons for you.

Hi is there anyone with the old wildermeersch pigeons who still fly very well every year.

Protien just thickens their blood up,they wont be poisened at all,if they wont range just add some good quality barley to their feed then watch them go for 2 hrs a time,some will see this system and pull it down but if you do this you will be up on the result sheet aswell.ive used this for years and so have all the top pigeon men aswell and you will see how well they will look being fed this way.Good luck with y/b

i had them in 1995 and were decent pigeons they scored well as youngsters but were big pigeons as yarling and new they needed a lot of work,but louella do have them,nice birds.

De rappe is a pure janssen not a van den bosch and so is ger broken poot ,de rappe comingf down from a cock from dicke meerman and the hen from janssen bros,dicke only races pure janssen.

my best 2 ever breeders won eye sign shows and bred pleny of winners my red cock bred me a slaty hen that had a great old gold yellow eye and she bred 3x1sts and 8 2nds in 3 years breeding there eyes looked like gems when the sun shined on them my no 2 stock cock was a slate with a great gun metal eye and he bred winners on bad race days flying into north west winds,my no1 was a red cock and he had a heavy red eye with a blue circle he bred 18x 1st winners and g.sire to a lot more,i must say i have not come across these types of eyes since.Makes you think dusnt it.

Pity M.D.Evans were not members on here with how many 1st open national winners and multiple federation winners they have bred with their Herman pigeons and Gaby pigeons,wonder if mark pairs up by eyes or believes in the eye sign theory after all i think they are the best in the u.k.

I use to have the van den bosch through eric roddem of newton aycliffe,co durham out of his schlepphorst stock,i had 6 direct out of his no1 stock cock,the vos prins ,they were very nice birds that loved north west winds i had the black velvet colours and they were good lookers.If you are really into finding out more on the background on the strain buy the book on albert babington by ritchard kirkbridge,its a good read aswell.
