  1. they come under janssen.v.d.bosch,they do have them as they bred them around a chocolate muelaman cock "terracotta"
  2. will do my best for you and let you know.
  3. the best ive seen is from louella,a friend raced some a few years ago and did well with them on sprint races, and only £99 for six.
  4. i think rearing a youngster does make them much keener to their box and i think they try just a little bit more on hard days."just my theory"
  5. yes i have also had a few bad ones aswell jimmy, helps to keep the blood flowing.
  6. i think louella bought the super sprinter from joe grant of morden,he came down from the zot 57 lines and sheer elegance stuff,i think he was related to jills boy and the "08" of joe,s aswell.jou grant ripped the road up with these pigeons before selling them to louella except for jills boy witch tony bates bought. hope you find it a little infomative.
  7. does anybody out there still fly the old herman breed and if so do they still win top races.they were great pigeons in the yorkshire area and just wondered if there are fanciers out there still have them.
  8. another nice pigeon hyacinth, i think ben will be quit now you have showed real class janssen pigeons.
  9. i used to use johnsons pigeon tonic years ago on a sunday and monday when they came back from racing and found that gave them the black patchy toung or grey look, by the end of the week i found out there tounges returned back a nice pink,so could it be due to an iron intake, even so i didnt affect the birds performance.
  10. there was over 2500 plus hyacinth, all were red fox janssens through gerard schlepphorst, germany and henk kuijlaars.
  11. hi hyacinth, nice pigeons ive always loved the janssen pigeons and yours look great.
  12. my very best result was 1st 2nd 5th 8th 10th 12th 15th 16th combine from folkstone 205mls in 2001 i times 10 widowhood cocks in nearly all together, what a feeling that was as it was a central marked race.

    Lofts

i like the back garden but i have lost many a youngbird race with youngsters dropping on the house roof because my loft is near to the house and sometimes would have topped the combine but i suppose you have to take good with the bad, i also like the allotment as i still have one and i am thinking of flying the youngsters down there this year,it does get lonely in the garden when rest of the fanciers are having a laugh down the allotments.plus i like to flag the old birds to get them in tip top condition,i carnt do that in the garden.
  14. Ben thats how bad you are you havnt even spelled my name right, and as for nationals i have never entered them due to time and work commitments, and as you speak so highly for yourself what breed do you fly and whats your results,as for getting janssens out from portland my good friend trevor hardake of hardaker % sykes fly pure janssens aswell as crossed, they have won the northern classic a few times ( pure janssen) and have been in the 1st ten positiones in the midland national (pure janssen) carnt get any better than that ben, and i think they will win it very soon as they are getting better every year. Whats your best results then BIG HEAD. Andy well said, this thread was put in just for what breeds do you find the most successfull and dont need arseholes like ben causing avok.Keep taking the tablets ben you might get better one day.
  15. The janssen pigeons are the best strain of pigeon there ever has been, and the fastest, just look at the great van-reets of today,a break down from janssen pigeons bought in by old man van reet.Ben get ur knoledge right because they did enter open races and some were up to 200mls and they still won, as for de klak "what a pigeon breeder" same as the late "wout smeulders" with the likes of the "531" 15x1sts, i could go on and on but it would fill too many pages, the janssen men out there owe there success to the likes of "rooie appie" the red lines as well as the "old 05", name a strain any better than the jannsen pigeons. The late Karl hermans were good and still are so are the Busschearts. Good luck to all of you in 2006.
  16. do you mean the "super sprinter" of louella,s

  21. ive had 2 in the past gone to different locations, but the amtrak at pontefract were soon having them sent back that day and were delivered by car. les
  22. Dave downing in suffolk flies the van reets from dean pallat and has topped the fed by as much as 10 minutes. i think the van reets are all round good birds.
  23. mine once was when i took them training,i was giving them 5 before i opened the flaps and 2 old women pulled up and asked me if they could watch, they asked what happens,i said the fly out of the basket very fast take half a circle in the sky and then there off straight home, one laidy ses oh isnt that clever i said yes it is . Then i said watch and pulled the flap down and to my amazement they all came walking out and walked straight into the field like ducks i just didnt know were to put my face ,how imbarresing it was. I never took them there again after that.
  24. i had a full brother to ch.kimberly wich was out of young zot 80 from the de rode zot 57 the red line of janssen bros. The other side was the grote gesch "sire of arjan".The other side was the sherpe lines and oude vos and oude witoger. i have 0ne 8 year old cock left and 0ne 10 yr old cock left still breeding good racers for me.
  25. i know its a training distance but sometimes you dont get them like that when you train them, never mind when theres over a 1000 pigeons liberated with them.
