  1. yes its from their 2001 sprint champion plus first bird from 6ooml races 4 times so this hen should breed good all rounders, its from the lines of their good breeding hen red maiden and its full of top janssen pigeons in the bedigree.
  2. yes its the same hemp and its ok to use, just go steady with it and in a couple of days you will see them more active.
  3. Thanx every one for their comments on beans ,its been very infomative to me just to see that i was not alone feeding beans to my birds and getting results.
  4. andy this pigeon is no way pure de klak or pur janssen ,looking at his pedigree and studied the line for years i think its mother must have been treaded by a different pigeon or the pedigree is false.
  5. Chec hen NL 05 1625464, my wife won this hen from a ticket we got while we was in our hotel,it is a direct dtr of their 2001 sprint champion and is janssen based, they are better known as the Boscheind Flyers and are featured on a dvd by ray night.this is a top class hen and is sure to breed the goods, would have kept this hen but ime fully stocked up.Any good decent offer accepted, reply by e.mail or message. les

    creatine

i use to bodybuild a few years ago and used creatine, many brands aswell, the cheap stuff will realy give them a pump but it does make your muscles cramp up very quick as all creatine pumps water into the muscles,so not very good for pigeons . mind you no other pigeon will mess about with them in the basket as they will be solid.ha ha................ my view speight keep it away from your pigeons, plus to get 99% out of creatine you need to spike it with cranberry juice as it travels better into the muscles and would be best put on corn, putting it in the drinker will only pass straight through them in the urine-droppings.
  8. yes speed bird i also have the karl hremans aswell as janssens,i think the hermans are the best thing yorkshire has seen, also i know of many top herman flyers who have got the van reets to try against their hermans and their hermans have still dominated the van reets.i have some of ward bros old stuff and they are very fast birds.
  9. I have studied my janssens eyes for many years now and after seeing family traits it is within the family of the breed, but saying that i pick all my pigeons for stock on 1st body and wing ,single tail flight covering the rest, and then eye sign.I have picked all my top breeders this way some were youngsters when i bought them, one cock being responsible for 23 1st prize winners.plus he won many eye sign shows. If you want a good winning family breed around strong eyed pigeons.
  10. nice capture mate
  11. well i think i would put up a good performance if i was racing home to her.Nice pic
  12. young bird racing is a specialist thing now ,not like it use to be,we tend to follow our dutch friends with systems, breeds are getting faster putting up some unbelievable velocities with all the new systems there is,when i started racing i was the youngest member in the club only being 16 at the time and being last every week that was two seasons running, after that i was really fed up but was keen to get there,it takes time to get there but put the work in get a good system and birds and you will get there, you see it in the B.H.W novices topping the fed so its just a matter of trying harder with ur birds. Now if i get 4-5 together i do time them in as no body thought of me when i was young and i still fly against same people.
  13. give mr nasty a slap urself ive done that with many cocks like him and somethink else hitting the harder than they can give usually sorts them.(i dont mean throw him or being too heavy) just give it a slight back hander, believe me it does work.
  14. Thanx for that,i flew my widowhood cock that way a few years ago and its the best ive ever flown, trying new systems has led me away from that way but think ime gonna try it again this year.
  15. the old methods are still the best i think, theres too many hyped up tonics about today, ive used glauber salts ,epson salts and bicarbonated soda for year now and was told to use this on a sunday by the great barry mc,nicholas,he was the best around at sprint racing,i am only 34 and had to learn the hard way as i had no family background of pigeon men,if salts did that much damage to the birds it would show on them and they certainly would not win races. Keep it up ray ur beating them who dont use it.What i say dont knock it until youve tried and tested it.it works for me so i will keep using it.
  16. id try this 3 heaped tablespoons of glauber salts and 1 tea spoon of bicarbonated soda, add it to 2 pints of warm water and put it in a drinker fo 2-3 hrs make sure your birds are firsty.after a few hrs throw it away and then feed your birds just a little and you should see the dropping on your birds return to normal,if they dont then they are ailing somethink.Good luck
  17. i put a full bulb in a pop bottle 2lts fill it up with warm water.leave for a few days then i put a table spoon to 2ltrs water once a week,i keep the cloves in the bottle all the time.Idont make anymore up untill i have used that one which is about 12 months.

    Hot Hens

Higher the barley content, this will sort them out, plus it will condition them aswell,as soon as you pair them up a few days and they will forget about the other hens and as bruno said your hens must be well, dont reduce your corn it will only cause you problems just higher the barley.
  19. been looking at the pic,hes a good looking pigeon,do you have janssen pigeons.

    tic beans

has anybody ever used tic beans to fly there widowhood cock for sprinting,i used this method a few years ago and flew very well acheiving some top combine results as i hopper fed due to long hours at work, there condition was unbelievable, just wondered if any body else has tried this as a very top class fancier told me to do this.
  21. has anybody heard of "vita choc" i think it was produced in belguim and has been used on pigeons,a fancier in birmingham use to use it but i never knew its use, he use to swear by it and nicknamed it rocket fuel as is pigeons flew their nuts off.If anybody know of it feel free to reply.
  22. The blood bubble on the breast , is it true the thurther back it goes the pigeons form is going off. Just somethink i read about it thats all.
  23. i once had a good widowhood cock and when he was coming in form he used to start trying to build a nest, but as sbelbin says they blow up and feel light and will always be striking off. When you let your cocks out and they a flying together watch out for those spliting off and racing off by themselves and returning high up those are your pool birds. If your birds are exercising well form will come .
