  1. Hi Klaus. Yes it will be doing an advert for john and formula1 lofts. I plan on visiting them 1st week in november to shot at there lofts, get some interviews to which i will add some of the footage that was shot at the auction. The 2 johns are really nice guys, very genuine fanciers ( difficult to find these days anywhere). The birds were looking really well. I was very impressed by what i saw. jas.
  2. Hi bakes. yeah you got a cracker there. I Didnt realise you were going up mate, i would have found you and said hello. I was the one filming the auction, as part of an advert for john that im doing. I have to say the birds were crackers mate. Pity the crowd of people they had were poor. You wont go wrong with that hen mate i fancied her also. Jas.
  3. Will check it out in google chrome and let you know as i dont have it installed. It views fine in firefox and safari on the mac, but thanks for letting us know. jas.
  4. Hi all. Just to let you know im putting together a website for mark caudwell. www.markcaudwell.com Its still under construction and should be finished soon. 5. Hi david. good to hear from you, been a while since we spoke last. hope your well. Good to hear you sharing your knowledge with everyone at pigeon basics. Speak to you soon mate. Jason Edwards.
  6. What sort of advice is that, nothing to do with canker.
  7. As we said before, the percentage of birds bred to the percentage of winners reported aint great from the big studs. Ive been in the sport for 30 plus years and have bought birds from louella in the past and had really poor quality birds from them. There are very few if any studs that i will go to as i dont trust them, john at formula 1 is the only stud i would buy from period as john have said they are racers as well as a stud. The thing with big studs like louella is you cant tell me if you wanted a kit of say van reets from them and they didnt have any available do you think they would tell you that or take your money and give you anything, i know my thoughts on this. Go to a stud that are winning themselves and some one you can trust. jas.
  8. Well done paul. You deserve it mate. Jas.
  9. HI greenlands. I to recommend osteocare liquid. i have used it for 4 years now and the quality of the eggs are second to none. Got to give John Halstead some credit for this as i got it from his breeding dvd, Excellent product, I have 2 small children one 4 and one 2 and they have been taking it since they were young its an excellent product only cost about £3-£4. jas.
  10. Easy one that now that bert hession doesnt sell anymore, the best are now mark caudwell in my opinion. jas.
  11. granted they do but we never see them. This is how studs work, they go in a buy everything from a winning fancier, good and bad. they bring them back to louella where they pair them up and breed from them. theses youngsters are then matured and then breed from again. these are the birds you get , not out of the winners they buy, they use the big winning pigeons name to convince people that they are getting the best but in reality all you are getting is grandchildren from the originals, then a lot fanciers will put these grand children to stock to breed out of so you then have 2 generations of unraced pigeons who are great grandchildren of the originals. the chance of breeding winners are slim as they are to far from the original genes. No one is saying they dont have good birds there because they do have some of the top racers of all time but unless you are willing to pay £1000's of pounds for children you will never get anything of any real value. just have a look at all the old stock birds they sell on there website, all of them are 'out of birds bred especially for stock by louella'. none are out of originals. check out there pedigrees if you want proof. Just say that the apple doesnt fall far from the tree thats why people like formula one lofts have a good reputation, because they race too, not just breeding.
  12. I would never buy from a stud that doesnt race. buying birds from birds that havent race is a lottery. I would rather go to someone like john at formula lofts and by a pair or two out of birds that are racing before i would ever go to louella.
  13. Its a strange thing throat theory, you take some of the best fanciers in the world, people like geoff kirkland, frank tasker, paul haulterman, they all say that the throat theory is the only theory that they believe in. if you watch the secrets of champions dvds it is explained full in there by these champions. When you have people like these guys that fully believe in it there has to be something in it. jas.
  14. Thanks tom. Whos looking like the potential winner at the moment. jas.

  22. Thanks for the info tom. Are the plans still the same to go to folkstone next week. I really feel there should be comeback race there and folkstone the following week. If we have a difficult race on monday it will be difficult to get them back in condition for another long race. jas.
  23. Cheers paul. Jas.
  24. Cheers tom. Jas.
  25. Hi mick you are missing the point. its not the cost but the principle of it. I can assure you the birds are worth a 100 times more than the ets ring, its the fact that someone has taken it off is the issue here. Saturdays race wasnt a blow home but a fairly hard race for any youngsters first race. with most fanciers feeling how hard it was. I do agree with roland our lofts shouldnt be a hotel for strays, in fact if one comes to my loft it doesnt stay there its taken to another shed out of the way of everything else, but what does the person gain from taking the ring, other than one less ring he has to buy himself, or as others have said it may be an anti ets fancier. This time of the year i could get in 100's of stay birds and if i took the ets rings off them all i wouldnt have to buy any myself. it just isnt right. Maybe scum of the earth was a little strong but it frustrates me when some one does something like that. this bird was liberated in newbury on saturday, came back on sunday. jas.
