Hi all i paired the 1st of my stock up on january the 1st 8 pairs in total had all layed there first eggs by the 10th of jan. Paired up my second set of stock birds another 8 pairs which are all relatively young in comparison on the 10th. Will be pairing up the racer next week some time. Looking to breed 60 youngsters for the coming season

For me it is also both. The pedigree is only as good as the trust you put in the person that provides it. You have to go to a genuine fancier who you can trust. If you can trust the pedigree is correct for the bird it will give you an idea of how far back the winning birds are. You have to have birds out of birds that were racing and winning, its no good having great grand parents who were the last racers or winners because the further you go from the winners the less likely you are to produce those winning genes. Handling is important as well, the bird has to be balanced, good feathering and i like to see a bird that struggles a little in the hand. Neither of the above guarantees anything but it does improve your chances of producing a winner. The only real way to find out is in the basket. jas.

Its not just the chinese. Ian stafford paid 24000 euros for 2 birds, 14000 for the one and 10000 for the other one. Heres the birds ian bought: 10,000 euros gets you: 14,000 euros gets you: When you are a multiple world champion like jos has been you can demand anything. remember he sold avril for over 100,000 euros a few years back and she was one of the highest priced pigeons ever sold. I have met jos a few occasions and hes spot on, very knowledgeable and he dont mind giving you the time to answer your questions. thats good in my book. Well done jos.

Well said Mate. I approached mark around the end of august this year to do this dvd, as i had been so impressed by marks performances and had used his racing system on my own birds with good success i felt that it was time to get this guy on to dvd were he deserved to be. I visited mark in the first week of november and i have to say i wasnt disappointed in what i saw. Firstly in a sport which is unfortunately full of people who just wants to rip people off by selling birds with no performance history, i can say without doubt mark is one of the most genuine fanciers i have ever had the please of dealing with. Mark didnt know me from adam and he trusted me to come to his home and was very welcoming and the day went extremely well. The setup of the caudwell lofts are fantastic, The lofts are immaculate and the lofts the birds are housed in were stunning. Over the years i have visited manny champions lofts in the uk and in europe looking for the best. I have been involved with the staf van reets for over 20 years and i know this family extremely well. I handled all of the champions of the caudwell lofts and i have to say that they were by far the BEST handling pigeon i have ever handle, and over the years i have handle the best. Not only did these birds have the fantastic performances they handle a dream. As mark said he made the choice in 2005 to stop racing due to being forced by others who just couldnt compete against him. That choice for mark was not an easy one, as i have found out over the months i have become good friends with mark, his dedication to racing pigeons are second to none. Mark continues to leave his mark in the sport by now producing many many winners for people all over the county. His birds have also been exported all over the world with great success. Hi all. Just to give you an update on the new Mark Caudwell dvd im producing. I visited Mark on monday the 1st of november 2010. I shot over 3 hours of interviews, bird reports, loft shots etc. I had the privilege to handle some of the finest loft of performance sprint birds anywhere in the uk or even europe. I have been involved in racing pigeons for 30 years and have done many loft visits over the years to lofts in uk and europe. The standard of pigeons held at the Caudwell lofts are absolutely fantastic. The Dvd is now in post production and should be complete by the 12th of november. The dvd will then be sent off to mark for approval. once its approved it will be sent to a dvd printers for manufacture. It should be available to purchase towards the end of november. When the release date is known i will join up as a seller and will offer the first batch out to everyone at Pigeon Basics. Below are some photos i took at the lofts. Speak to you all soon. Jas.

No he still has the birds. but they do go onsale on pipa website on the 8th of december as he is packing up for health reasons. He has a new dvd out its kind of a questions and answers dvd but its retailing at £30 on the racing pigeon website.

Hi all. Just came across this on youtube. its disgusting and a terrible way to treat birds. Dont watch if you have a weak stomach. Theses people should be locked up. jas.

When you look closer at the pedigrees of the new strain there aint much in the way of winners mentioned, they keep on about them being a 1st national bourges strain and if you look in the pedigrees the father of the national winner is a 97 pigeon. Wheres all the other performances or is that one national win just it. Also they have had them a few years now, as i said before they are breeding out of them first to build up the numbers they have then we get the youngsters out of the birds they have bred. just look how far you have to go back to find an actual racer. as other have said you want them out of the national winner not out of brothers or sisters to the national winner. Go through the pedigrees of other strains on there and nearly all the parents are ' bred especially for stock by louella' nothing are from the winners themselves, you have to get birds from racers not birds that have never been on the road. Hi All. I have used both and personally preferred the chevivac S live vaccine as i dont like having to inject the birds twice which you have to do with dead vaccine. I never had any side effects issues with either vaccine.
