Tim too much protien is bad for any pigeon ... or us! If you ever get toxin poison in their blood through too much protien - you will certain be out for a season at least! And it is in a different concept than the Toxin that is easily cleared when stressed from a had race tec. JMO

Coxy you are a plonker, no one is an Island, and Pete's views too many are not doing the majority any favours - likewise those that continually gripe about Amtrax and other useless whinges! And I am attacking what he is saying and not the fellow ... but seems that is a bit to much above your head to understand that. One thing for sure, YOU / PETE and 99% of the fanciers would be a darn sight worst off without Amtrax, and tha isa fact. And a few that keep stirring the pot should remember that! Likewise yourselve when butting into a conversation and taking it out of concept to suit YOUR' own ego! When I attack Pete or anyone else they will certainly KNOW! And as for you I'll send you a Email so you can understand too! err umm er D d doh!

Pigeon Pete ... we cant all be wrong, not moaning just tellin it how it is, The Few of you are ALL wrong! A buisness couldn't be able to operate if the VAST MAJORITY weren't happy with the service.... 90% are more than happy which is a fact! So instead of moaning, griping like ole washer women do something posative ... Take you others birds AND don't USE AMTRAX! Now that is a simple reality, and certainly one that would stop your Heart pulpitations. And Guess what! You would actually be telling Amtrax that a few are not happy with their service! Now that would be far far better wouldn't it! And then Amtrax would reply, 'Fine by us, any others fel the same way please do the same ... Ps Pete, if there was any reality in actuality in there being a few more gripers, Amtrax may well say 'Good, go and take your own... because w can assure you, your not worth the effort, let alone the hassle, so Good bye'. Perhaps then the other 90 % would be really peved of you you moaners, and make you 'Popuality of the Month'! Jees! With the 10% lets say 4.700 of you, and you lot can't get together and organise a set up better ... £10 a year each ... £47,000... nah make that £0 a £140.000 quidies, Would buy a few vans that maties, and a few drivers wages first off... But would last above a month! Can't believe that common sense doesn't prevail, as to just what the costs are involved. Let alone the numbers of pigeons shifted each year.... 500.000 wouldn't touch it and you are moaning about the very small % that are late, and a minute fraction of a % that have a little more trouble. Get more hassle a day of the missis in a day than the lot of you get from Amtrax in a year lol. Best not use the service offered... not 'Don't read the posts'! I'm sure that if it was me I'd find alterntive arrangements, and take or pick them up from sauce meself. But like countless 0000's of others I have never had any trouble...

Then don't use it! Golly the prices you moan about, surely then just put the petrol in your car and go yourselve ... or find someone that will! Plenty unemployed / pensioners would lovet the day out and be glad to do it. Better still put it in their car and let them have the rest for going, plus a pint up the Pub. Seems to me that nigh everyone must be working 24 / 7 and can get away or over. Cod's wallop, just get on with it. And for Pete's sake stop blumming moaning and griping!

Williedoo ... nah, ................'Six birds standing on1.5 square foot' I'd hate to see the size of your 18 bird Baskets ... Let alone the 24 bird ones... Do you load with a forklift? Some folks are ... well just 'some Folk'... eems to me that the silly season is in full flow -'that's when there is no racing / mating, and folk have nothing better to do that find fault and moan ... Give over the lot of yer. If you don't like or trust the service

Subs £15, No second or alternative programme wanted , two to one against... So could be Sennon Cove again... and increased birdage fees I guess ...

Had a good riend, one who's name is often banded on this and other sites, that wrote to me just why any and ALL yogurts are a waste of time. The simple reality is such that that I never waste time buying any. That is live or organic, etc. etc. Yakult was recommend to me via another Vet who said that it would help with loose droppings full stop .... Seems that that mat have helped, ut the jury is still out. As for wasting money on such sil notions that Yougurt are of any benefit at all, well it beegers believe. And to think I too have wasted the odd quiddy on them lol...

what is it with barley then cause a lot of North Eastern People blokes don't like it. Is it something to do with the old UK strains weren't suited to it? but is there any uk old strains that are kept pure now begs the question? ETC. ETC. they are pigeons for pete's sake, and regardless what loft, or the owners name was, they will / have remained so. Tis surely cods wallop and a insult to basic intelligence to say other wise ... what a pigeon that was brought up say with a Barley mix will no longer like it, or it becomes no good - or better for them - if they are sold to a new owner!! Mond boggles at such stupidity. The whole balance of a diet is surely upto the 'Owners' own wimms and likes and dislikes. Hard distance races have been won on barley alone ... likewise Acorns, but after the mid 50's I haven't seen a like of acorns picked and fed ... wonder why that is. No not because they are no longer any god etc. but because it is easier and simply to buy - and one can afford better as it is the norm - the grains sold. I wonder if the perferred grains of a mix would still be the first eaten if the bird knew what YOU had in store for them. Was a time when Atheletes / boxers trained on protien ... Lugemes etc. have a vast differential of all needed proterties, including amino etc. We rely on what suits our pockets, or what Joe Bloggs recommends, regardless of his sauce, or even their interests, what they endorse, hidden or not1

Barley is at the Reputable Centes around £3 50 per 20 k. Farmers, around £2 to £2 50. But with Wheat, £3 and a bag of Maples (the good English) @ £6 and tic beans at £4 50 a good winter mixture is oibtained which eqauls to £4 a bag of 20k... lasts me till March. Have to add nothing really for the breeding either. Then it would with a seperate helping of Rice do for the racing season. Can anyone post what other feed is really necasary! Saflon / sunflower etc. yes for the sprinter perhaps.... But soaked rice for the distance is all that is realy needed. Be interesting what other feeds and why I guess.

I'd bet raising of funds is foremost ...

Hi . Is there anybody out there that knows of an R Sharp he/she ( obviously dosen't know where they live etc. I'd guess, or wouldn't ask) so Square heads say's ... WHERE DO THEY COME FROM IAN? eerr er umm plonker, a real classic that! lol And who said the one liners were dead lol.
-
Blackjack your a realist... no place for them in this game I'm afraid to say.
-
Fifer says ... 'there has never been any handicap racing' Well he is obviously in the East side lol. Others have 'Handicaps every time the wind blows...
-
Next day! and you're worried they are dead! Then Amtrax have done you a favour... with a constitution like that they wouldn't have been able to fly upto a nest, let alone mate.... Would have been only good for a taxidermist any road if dead already. Golly talk about mixing dirt with water to throw Mud!

Eyes sign is for them that pofess to know abit about it ... for the rest of us, I for one, find i boring, but every one to their own.

Oh yes, just about any where. But they absolutely hate letting birds go unless there is some west in the wind. After a couple of days of so they have to... They (the fortunate positioned, and powers to be) reckon it's bad for them to be blown towards the so - called mountains if there is any east in the wind, but fine to have west winds blowing them out to sea, and many have been really strong resulting in disastrous results. Our birds are normally between 3 and 15 miles out at sea from the coast line till breaking after the ‘Wash’. Seems many believe that they actually fly inside the Wash as to going over the 20 mile wash. I have a hung jury there myself. Wales etc fly the NRCC, and of course the London Feds etc. too. One day all Sections will be length wise pointing towards the 'Liberation Point'. When this crap scenario of WIDTH, and any excuse to have width, albeit Counties, or Road ways etc. etc. which they jealousy guard, with any mealy mouthed excuse come reason, not to go length of sections. It is obvious, and in this day and age, with the GPS, we will, like other countries have the coordinates just fed into the Computer and touch the button and your distance will be straight up. Like wise a couple of mornings and afternoons, and all sections could quite easily be where ever it is suits the members majorities and not the favoured few. But of course they seem to be good talkers, well liked and often with a few bob, and they get the all important positions.... Because we have been conditioned to it over the centuries, a land of 'Haves and Have Nots' where it is their right to be obeyed and other to do as ones told... fortunately in many aspects that is being challenged over the past few years, but change takes time, and lemons to fall into line to a new leader I guess. Like the NFC wanted to expand our section to have a front of over 150 miles wide, and what good that will do most of us if there is west in the wind one can only ascertain a guess... to bolster the more favourable positioned coffers. The midlands... well I can not really say as I've resigned, though of course a fully paid up member till the AGM that is! We can’t change the wind… but can alter our sails… Any I’d wager that many are the ones that have tried and gave up, then dishearten them have packed up. Likewise the Nationals, they often lament their hardship that so many never bother to fly the Nationals. In deed by far the majority. Why, well simply put, they would compete for the realism of ‘Section’ places, but that has been contrived to benefit the few, and bolster the more fortunate coffers, so they don’t. Then many when they have gone as far as they can Fed / Club wise see no new challenges that are realistically achievable, so they too have packed up, or are still packing up.

Ludicrous! And why! To save a few quid they sacrifice good members, just where is the sense. Like the Rugby station another National body closed, for decorating, but will be open again straight off when done... golly they must be on a good hourly rate... 7 years and still told 'Be Patient' lol. Mind I resigned from all South Rd clubs. The NRCC is a right shower of selfish half wits, but may stay with them as a few of us race against each other privately. Other than that I reckon I'd fold... Northants have now only seven of us that fly it! Most left, when brain dead cretins voted for the Section to be open up 65 miles to the East! Yes to let Lowestoft - the most easterly point in Britain - into our section! Yes of course it was just a mean ploy for the EAST COAST CLUB for us to bolster their 'Coffers'. They said... 'Well it only got in by one vote etc. That matters not, for any decent person wouldn't have voted for it in the first place, let alone them greed barlambs that proposed and seconded it... Yes they want their/ B***s chopped of and sown in their' mouths, and their main hand clipped tight up their Jackcy! Short sight and selfishness! So I really couldn't give a fickle rat's *expletive removed* if I never raced against the.... ever again. Completely ruin our section, for after all we only ever fly for Section honours as they all well know, but they still need to squeeze the last drop....

Should have read ... They can't here either, as there are by laws that enforces to be kept under control.
-
Supose they sit the fence because they nebver know what's around the Corner, or where their bread is best buttered.... And I guess the ole chestnut in regards why the disbarrage anything is, 'As a memeber I have the same rights and privelges as every one else ... beside what is Wrong in trying to improve. seen it all so often, but that in my expierence usually means' Watching how the land lies' lol But surely the more in, whether flying or not, all helps the 'Coffers' as long as they pay their dues!
-
Can't here to are by law to be kept under control. There is no such thing as a 'Lincence to Roam' and one is entitled to compensation if they do damage, or kill a pet of yours....
-
Yes Carpet gripper, they thread their way through first time and walk along it naturally then on. Had loads downs once. Glad I never had to pay for it Mark. But if a cat hast to claw up the fence and it is cladded at the top with it, might work a mite I suppose. Most cats find higher ground available when they can
