  1. Exploitation of the plebes... by the 'haves' is and has been by far the biggest singular detrimental to this so - called sport. From manipulation of Libs sites, to feathering their own nests, self interests and 'Bully for us and stuff you' brigade. The lead has been passed on and down from so called 'Nationals' to Combine almo, feds and sadly even clubs. Petty banning, and all to often that silly lame scudge of blaming 'Jealousy' every time a legit realistic probe / question is asked. This has stunk through the rank and file from the RPRA down to most committees. All to benefit self / friends interests. That is the real bigger picture, and all to often ballyhooed and belittled as sour grapes. They have given up and left rather than put up and be took not only advantage of, but not willing to put hard earnt money into the coffers of the 'More affluent / better postioned. AND when tey state the obvious and simple facts it is the next silly scenario 'They would have left any way... just looking for an excuse' crap! Blantantently turning deaf ears and ridiculing the truth.... which is acceptable because 'IT ISN'T in their own interests#!
  2. The number one, both past and present isn't listed ...
  3. Highlight, like Rhofrield's do... forget what it says on the label, just a little drop in the eye. If it doesn't pass through the wattle etc. nigh immediately, you have respiration problems. If it does, then of course go onto the next elimination step.
  4. Hi Jase. My daughter lives in Sidney now, name Clair, so when on one of your walk abouts say hi to her for me there's a fair dinkum mucker.
  5. Lol ;D ??) ??) Best kept quiet I'd wager
  6. Just another preasure to make most buy the E.T. ... or pack up.

    neighbours

Golly mine is 14 foot high.... mind it is mostley a frame wire wire mish .... connected to the mains, so they can keep an eye on the birds and also watch any cats fry to their syvitous dance lol
  8. Very true, and a little word to the drivers work wonders... THEY mostly want to do a good job, have a good repore and future work. But two things that 'WE fancier's consistantly forget is numbers, THOUSANDS of pigeons are transported every season! AND that is just a very small % of the amount of cargo hey shift! Sorry yes indeed for those who have had bad expierences! But on a far more jubilant note very glad indeed for the vat majority that have had really good service, and that crock of the matter is MOST have! Sorry. Tammy that shoulkd raise my 'Stake' in the company a few pence eh!
  9. Send a couple of season ole birds... that won't like it, but they will home and keep in you the Averages etc.
  10. Well Joe be that as it may, all that and much mre will never beat wind and location. So in real terms I guess one has to do what the 'Name' boys did and move! Buy the plot, forget one can't afford to etc. Forget one has to work. Forget that it's a sport and sell the culls. Yes it is easy when you have the money. But most of us just prop up the coffers for the more 'Best Positioned' and are happy with club life and the odd SECTION merit. WE aren't stupid! All the afore mentions of yours are as you say.... But that doesn't has n't made the 'Champs' and often not even a good flyer. Simple reality is the fact that seldom - if ever - the best bird wins the National, Section, Fed, and very often even the thge club race. That is a fact, and money can't help you, which is also an hextrodon in that Money has often helped caused it. Three cheers to Masserella, he did give the working man good birds and near working man's pocket - obviously he couln't purchase many - Shame he couldn't harness the wind, and give us all a 'Good Position'. Joe the reality is that there are far too many great fanciers, brilliant flyers every week that would more than hold their own ANYWHERE. And again the working man has 'Family' comittments that doesn't alow him to move, and certain not to remorgage the homes on a few birds!
  11. Well finavon won the National ... after the 23rd fence pile up. Would have probably been pulled up if not for that. Wouldn't have been any money on it for a repeat performance. Yes you will get some decent birds back 've no doubt! But a pit bull needn't bite me for me to know it will hurt. If anything, for the averages etc. send 1 or 2 older seasoned birds, they won't like it, but will at least home with the rest. Know many that have sent boys to do a man's job... when losing their pide they shrug it off their shoulders by saying 'Ah well I thought they were decent birds, but I was obviously wrong... still no good now, PROBABLY never was'! eekkk!
  12. Never mind what way the birds are flying, East winds are cold winds from Siberia, and cold is cold. Last week was cold enough.
  13. They say 'Only send the best'! Well trhat will quickly sort out a few... may seem that you only had culls that weren't any good. Why I never bother with the first few races. Can mean sending good birds once to many if in with a shaout of the averages .... so I am automatically out of them, etc. the real races at the distance. I don't ruin good yearlings / 2yo's in East Winds if they come back. Can breed better youngsters later in warmer weather. Can fly Natural and hold flights. The actually prestigeous races and races of merit are flown later in the year, so are fresher. And a lot more... With the warmer and better weather in September, even early October, racing could well start in first week in May and more than satisfy the majority of fanciers. Let them that want early finish races I.e Sprints have their moments.... Just wish that they would stop being selfish and interfering with the Longer races, especially with the likes of Noon Libs, where they pinch unmerited glory via trying to say their Middle distance birds are Winning the distance races.
  14. No body disputes his entitled ... some are just concerned regarding the 'outcome / any detrimentalism' that will have a cost effective ending paid for by the sport. It is just a ego realisn of stupudity in selfishness in the highest form. Though personally I couldn't give a fickled rats' *expletive removed*... Just know that next year with less members, more costs distributed amongst us. Now that is sensible and for the goodness of he sport. However no one wants to be 3rd knowing there were 15 more birds not clocked in before him. Down to the sensibilty of the particpating memebers... Pete help us...
  15. Well Vicent that is what will be the case, no two ways about that.

    Unikon

Would like the means of 'contact' n regards purchasing a Unikon ET set up. I.e Rep etc. One closish to Northantonshire preferably, but... Need to know the ins and out regards costs / Rings / Compatabilitywith other Master Timers. Answers via here or Pm me. Thanks in advance Roland
  18. Contentment, plenty of pigeons around to roof top with. Then against popularly theory's and what the scientifically supposedly with will induce - like E coli etc., I believe that a little garden lime left over night in the water to settle is a boon. Birds out all day from say 8 and then in by 4 to a darken loft will be enough to hold the moult.
  19. True, but if it keeps the cost down for me, them what do I care if he send 10 or a 100, or even two hundred! So 10 fanciers send 10 each... or one sends 80, no matter, the main diference is that in thm 80, 1 or two must be in great form and raring to go, the others possible gone over or needing the race. When you only have 8 pairs say, then each is prepared personally and must earn it's perch when the time of asking arrives.
  20. Most, indeed many fanciers today relate the facts like Position / wind etc. and many - not enough obviously - don't get carried away with soudo results that bolster either... and of course the 'Money' that further enhances their fortunate position. Several medioce and average fanciers has moved and lo and behold has excelled, not only himself, but of course their pigeons. I could name a dozen, and at least half a dozen that if moving back to old haunts would quickly be come a 'Has - Been' that in reality is / was a 'Never Was'. Could also name a few banded 'Nmaes' that are mentioned on here, even the birds which are suppose to be such and such birds that are doing 'The buisness'! Could it be the other and are in reality flying a 'Un Named birds. NOW I wonder why that is? Could it be that the real 'McCoy' don't fetch in the money? Better still just look at where the real birds are doing the buisness that 'Money' / Chequess are being thrown at them and STILL the true sauce, the real merit isn't passed on! The lists of the above are countless, and well known to most of us ... many disillusioned ones have packee up rather than ... Yet still too many harp on about 'Names' that are cheating the fancy as tin Gods! Lets not forget though on the other boot many NAMES are doiung the buis, are putting time and effort in. So just how can one compete against them when with Location / Wind is in their favour, and like many others of us are putting in 110%! Indeed the simple reality is that it can't be done, well not on a regular standing, and sadly in this scenario 'One Swallow' doesn't make a Summer'!
  21. Well done mucker!
  22. As I posted, 38 or more are / have been clocked in on the ET within a second. So that in it's self is not really brill. We all know when the loft is in form because they land as one. But fair play to the chap ... mind I don't think he is doing the club mates any favours and they may just form another club were he won't be allowed in. ... Or like another name that PAYS everything in the club, even trains their birds just so he can compete at club / fed level....
  23. Put a millionaire with managers, assistants and all the top birds and place him West in any club, fed National and he won't be a name to reckon with... may have the od East Wind ... but concerns like the NRCC etc. aren't keen and rarely if everliberate. His money will be useless, nothing beats the Location, or wind! We can't control the wind, only adjust our sails a mite. Further let Joe 61 be his mentor... still will just hold up the bottom rung most weeks. Yet to see anyone buy into a westerly position ... unless family / job comitemnts... and they usually pack up till they move again.
  24. Well only one club has opted for the ET's in our federation, and only one flyer in my South rd club. Am in the South Rd, and in two clubs North Rd. Now say I bought a ET Clock, the nearest Marking Station for the NRCC club don't have and aren't interested to say the least in ET clocking for them .... now that would mean 70 miles each way trip to one that maybe. But within a year or two I feel this will change.
  25. ... e falconry world are now using IVERMECTIN , Yeah of course, they have for some time, or as we are led to believe, BUT not, NOT I repeat the pour on. If only more fanciers would use that one, then much more pests to our pigeons would be removed.
