  1. Please pm me for price and details says Whiteknight
  2. Will say it is very good and enjoyable. Full of great and very meriteous information, and great knowledge for those who read it. I have a copy, will check the year where Jim tells of a great fancier that always had to have his water for making tea boiled twice.... Was A king of Scotland. Strangely never see and Scots mention him :-/
  3. Ghandi spoke a lot of sense in the 'Big Stick' scenario speech he gave. Whether between men or countries. Now it is all very well and good having means, and inflicting self justice upon one IF they cower and are then frightened etc. If they don't scare easierly, or won't cower, or the case being may well come back harder will enforcing one to raise up the stakes higher, only for them to do likewise. A fued, an never ending one has started. Remember a fellow telling the harm he and a Wealthy man were going to pay to have pain and suffering inflicted upon my brother... I asked him WHO he if was going to pay to ensure the same wouldn't happen to them, indeed a few time more dramatic? Which I assured him thus would be the case! Police / courts take a dim view of taking the law into ones own hands and pass what they hope are stiff sentences to deter others doing likewise. So never let the right hand see what the left hand is doing, and tell no one to ensure no one can tell. But if they don't frighten, don't care, orare more than likely to come back at one, it is a very long and uncomfortable live. J.MO.
  4. Well Warm water will freeze quicker than cold straight out tap. Some put salt in :-/ Yes but makes them thirsty and want to drink more.... worse if it does freeze then. Yep a Ping pong ball helps.... like ducks sitting on the lakes. - That is why there is often thin ice. But the best dfence has to make sure there is no draught. Closing the botton vents off might help :-/ Fortunately I am able to replace if and when need be. Yes had a couple of days replacing. So I feed a little in morning and then place the water before them. Again at night, and then place the water before them again. Also they can do with a little hemp or maize this weather to combat the cold, for that will keep them warmer.
  5. and click here http://ecard.ashland.edu/index.php?ecardYear=2004adm says it all.... Regards
  6. When too old to walk to the pits and feed the ducks and come home to feed the bird. I will still have them picking around in the garden and being enjoyed by both me and my neighbours.
  7. ET timers means, reagardless of silly notions, that as soon as the bird lands it has timed in. Time a Manual clocked birds lands, sets down struts around a mite on landing boards, walks around a mite, bobs in and out a couple of times... 20 seconds get into the loft blah blah ... ET Timers has had another 6 landed and beats you for first 7 places. As the preasure increases each week, and the manual clockers tries a mite harder.... the bird becomes tray shy and he has 14 before you. To even dream differently is foolhard at the highest level.
  8. I think that may well be the case and not far off the mark. Think Daglish would now need a Robinson like Shankley had though!
  9. Yes, invigourated them a mite.... wore off. And regardless of Liverpools so called debt - which is about a third of Man U's, he has had money and chances to buy.... What of the 23 million great Italian player that has only as yet got to the subs bench :-/ Yes has some good spanish players, and Torres is on par with any, if not the best striker in the world.... But we all know strikers, especially worth their salt and go for goals, have a tendacies to be prone to injury. Of course thay are.
  10. First bird a bit more. Was shown a Fed Race result sheet just a couple of weeks back. A great fancier and his birds, which never shy away from him won the Fed. A Manual clocker. He had nine drop together. Said about 20 seconds to time the first in. - Not neccesily to enter the loft. Then exactly 12 seconds between the next four he timed in. He never bothered with the others. Yes he was first 5 club and Fed.... would have been first nine on ET. But no one has it down to a finer art than Barry. Yes a bird doing 1760 could be a quarter of a mile behind and still have won! Yes I remember well those Pro ET brigade spouting that they'd gladly give say 15 second etc. to a manual clocker.... Like we all knew when we said they would say 'Stuff em.... I had to buy mine, let tem do the same'! :B :B It's here to stay, and overall down the line will be a good thing. But has certainly brought out, as expected it would, the selfishness of some flyers.
  11. Could be at ;iverpool.... Wouldn't mind that.... As for Sven still being at Man City :-/ Well of course a Man U fan would say that... bet they prayed he'd stayed lol. But do think that Rafa should do the right, and noble thing and resign. He has the money.... settle for a decent hand shake and bugger off!
  12. No problem at all Mucker.... If you were one of them I'd say so. So, so there is no misunderstanding, I will state categorically you wasn't one of them ignorant couriers, and further I never actually did ask you in this regard. I will admit though, in retrospect, I probably should have posted under another heading!. But, if one reads my post, I am actually placing you and Julie in good esteem! Obviously by the very fact that I wasn't calling you! Nor have took up umbrage, which I certainly would do if you was. Obviously it must go therefore, without saying, that you are deemed here as a very genuine person / courier wise, and that I have had no dealing with your form. Good luck to you and you firm. Have a good festive season mucker.
  13. Never said, nor implied that it was Julie etc.. Maybe a Mod will remove and put it in an ppropiate place. AS for being nasty, I'd never thought you were.
  14. I phoned Julie - pigeonwidow - Monday just gone, and asked if I was too late for a pick up / delivery. I had the birds down here in Northants on Thursday morning! Great service as you will all know by now. Have had two other couriers and they were good too, no too ways about that. Thanks Julie was well pleased and I am a happy chappie! I also needed a bird picked up from Wales. I phoned three others, two that spout out on here on here. Thought I’d give the business to same courier. I nipped up, last Monday to Wales and picked the bird up myself, and offered my services to any one I could help as I posted last Sunday. – I would have done normally anyway, but a member of the family has been in and out of Hospital of late. Hip replacement, and now had a part of his lung removed because of cancer. They think they have caught, and hopefully they have. So I was on call constantly as a driver lol. Meant I didn't want to be away too long. As I was saying one reluctantly said he didn't know, but would come back to me.... that evening, still waiting. The other said they would phone me the day before to arrange pick up delivery etc. Dead loss that pair and that’s for sure. Had phoned the one that picked up from me to go to Scotland earlier straight of as I thought he was very good. Again he was very good and forthright and apologetic. Saying he hated to say no straight off, but doubted he would be able to help in the very near future, but hoped that wouldn't put me off in future contacting him! Put me off! :-/ :-/ Of course not, I knew straight of exactly what was what and why. Of course I'd use him again, because there was no messing, no confabs, meaning I didn't waste time piddling about. Yes he said if any thing changed he would contact me to say so, but best I went elsewhere. Now that also, in my books a good service. So once again Julie and Kevin thanks, very pleased I can assure you.
  15. No, many witches have Blue tits, and not because of the cold ... they feed them bread crumbs and keep them in little cages to agravate their cats lol ;D ;D ;D
  16. Am pleased to be able to. Had quite a litle chat, well three times actually lo. Found him very genuine and straight. Nice fellow. I look forward to meeting up with him. On the same token of genuine fanciers, I asked him if he wanted me to forward a P.m regards that ET system that another good fancier was offering for a genuine cause to help. Vic said 'Thanks but no' will stick to a T3. A man of the ole school i feel, very genuine.
  17. The last three ... when can you send them down lol. Brill.
  18. Am getting rid of all my bowls. In my stock loft I'll placing a piece of ply on on floor of nest boxes. Placing two house bricks at right angles to make a square in the corner. Tobacco stalks cut in 4 - 6 inches. Half a brick, or 4 inch x 2 inch high wooden block for the mate to stand on. Easy to clean when on youngsters. I'll just replace the bricks onto a clean bit of plywood. The race team will have a 12 inch shelf right acroos the length of the loft. 2 or 3 actually. Then bricks in a line, with a brick from the front to the back every 12 inches. They can mate and lay / rear where they like. likewise when re mated on naturual. Yes they will be nipping in and out and guarding like the clappers. Willrace dry.... But will have some stock birds rearing some then so I can just slip a youngster under when I feel it suits.
  19. One big downer is many so called emedies only camaflage the symtoms. That in it's self could lead to more detrimental illness or deseas etc. Bicarb is for thickering soups in soups and stock lol. So yes the symtom could be covered over, or cured. But one does need to know really just whih is what. Could it be that the ailment is glassed over, then further down the line treatment needed for another / or same ailment is needed leading to the misgotton idea that it had been cleared up in the first place JMO, and what I feel everyone should take on board. Another scenario if it becomes a carriers and causes more grief down the line. I had some clear watery ones this week. Also the clear with a worm look one. But I have just treated all my birds and now have them on Probotics. I expected droppings to be as such. Now of course the climate will change the droppings in colour / texture etc. etc. Like I say dropping change through the 24 hours EVERY day! In warmer, reliable weather they will become more static and stable of course.
  20. Have even Place gripper rods up both sides of a fence side by side.... they scramble up it as if not there. Their ability is sadly to be admired. Mind never seen or heard where they come back to plonk their nose on an Electric fence yet.
  21. Doesn't work. One is fooling themselves into a false situation. I was a carpet fitter for many years. Have placed them side by side on top of a 2 inch wide V upside down each side on top of the fence. A Wire Mesh up one side that is bent over a mite and goes up the middle. (Have even ran a single taunt wire over the middle too to no avail) So i was amazed to see cats stroll along as is nowt there . Feet perfectly between the tacks. Supplied many to many, all say the same.... 'No Good'!

    First to go

It is near the Christmas break of the school year. The students have turned in all their work and there is really nothing more to do. All the children re restless and the teacher decides to have an early dismissal. Teacher: "Whoever answers the questions I ask, first and correctly can leave early today." Little Johnny says to himself "Good, I want to get outta here. I'm smart and I'll answer the question." Teacher: "Who said 'Four Score and Seven Years Ago'?" Before Johnny can open his mouth, Susie says, "Abraham Lincoln." Teacher: "That's right Susie, you can go home." Johnny is mad that Susie answered the question first. Teacher: "Who said 'I Have a Dream'?" Before Johnny can open his mouth, Mary says, "Martin Luther King." Teacher: "That's right Mary, you can go." Johnny is even madder than before. Teacher: "Who said 'Ask not, what your country can do for you'?" Before Johnny can open his mouth, Nancy says, "John F. Kennedy." Teacher: "That's right Nancy, you may also leave." Johnny is boiling mad that he has not been able to answer any of the questions. When the teacher turns her back Johnny says, "I wish these bitches would keep their mouths shut!" The teacher turns around: "NOW WHO SAID THAT?" Johnny: "TIGER WOODS. CAN I GO NOW?"
  24. Here we go again!!! Wouldn't it be better if 'YOU' became a 'Mod' solely for this purpose :-/ :-/ Wouldn't it be better if they put THEIR' posts in the right slot in the first place? Can't be hard that, even I do moatly. One would think they'd be happy the 'Mods' were doing their needless chores for them. :-/ Save the 'Mods' a lot of usless wasted time. :-/ Would it be better for the Poster to apolise to the 'Mods' for wasting their time! :-/ Wouldn't be better to accept that they've made a genuine mistake and leave it at that! ... and hence the the extra work the 'Mods' do to just go quietly by. Wouldn't it be better for such posts to be ignored! :-/ Indeed would it be better if the poster of such found something better to do with their idle time!? :-/ Strueth just let them get on with their job... Besides you don't have to use this site, and if not happy don't, but to needlessly post rubbish and old hash relates to one better not using this site for the rest of us. I mean just does it matter? Who gives a jot outside of the few that needlessly nit pick. And yes you are. Yes it is a futile and senseless waste of time. I mean just who hasn't seen all this c$ap posted umpteens times? :-/ And who needs it? Well the answer to that is 'NO - ONE' strueth hven't you got any real realistic 'Beefs' TO MOAN ABOUT in your dull lifes? Give ita a rest.
