  1. Showman that echo's what the RPRA said that the 'Hawk watch' was for.... to tell folks the best places to set up :-/ :-/ So does one move... then move again everytime the 'New' area gets swamped.

    o my god

Like the little girl crying so sadly and folorn. When the lady next enquired why she pointed a large mound in the garden and said ' I've just had to buy my canary'! 'But that seems a large hole you must have have dug for a canary'! 'That's because he's still inside you ef ... fing cat'!

    o my god

I have a swing trap - cat proof - that I'll willingly give you. It is slightly weighted - amount upto you -which means the birds can enter - even have an open loft - but if a cat, or anything over a couple of pounds sets foot on it, it littuully falls downwards and locks the loft where as the cat falls into a bath of water... :-/ In fact I'll deliver it this Wednesday - hopefully it will be Wednesday, when I visit Stan the man and go onto Grantham, if you are interested.
  5. Chalk is Louella. Never heard of Chirk though.

  9. He who just goes quietly about his business and learns how to deal with these Ariel killers. No bleating. No! nor them 'Up in arm tirades'. No bellowing that ‘Someone’ else, anyone else but themselves, ought to be addressing their’ problems. Yet he just selflessly accepts the reality. Sadly reflects, truely knows, HE OWES it to his other birds (No one else) that at least that one’s life will have saved countless more lives of his precious birds. He knows also, that those that do nothing will also benefit... though mostly nothing. He just wishes a few more would put up and … Ah, but then that’s their’ never ending story!
  10. No problem at all. They pigeon wouldn't be a threat to their food supplies. And I down think in daylight an Owl would catch a pigeon if it urn on it... Yes might suprise one I guess. But believe that they would take no notice of each over at all after a few days.

    A sweet weed.

How sad for an English man with nothing to cheer … Except the words of 'Flower of Scotland'! . Yes it was disappointing day rugby wise for the English. England losing to France etc. meant that we failed to be clear at the home front. So it is a sad day when the only thing to bring cheer an proud Englishman is the words when sung via the Scottish ‘Flower of Scotland’. Yet. I suppose, after 700 years though even them words only now bring a smile of pride I guess.

    the mighty scots

Only saw parts ... am doing a Fund - Raiser tonight for two Pigeon clubs, but liked what I saw. Can't or couldn't comment about the game. or who deserved to win etc. But good to see Scotland's vast improvement over their last two games.

    possible

Yep. And as I've never seen a perigrene, only ever heard of three here about, which are no longer it seems, then Outside of Sparrow hawks problems, I'd say yes. But would be some feat. Not bred , or have the same charactor, or homing ability like they use to. 30 years ago quite possibly. Was a time when 24 youngsters was a 'Mobb Flyer' and 12 or so flew the whole shebang, and made yearlings and old birds. Indeed many had to make way fr younger birds. The work of Mr. Basket, failed as nigh every year after young birds racing finished, there was the heartache of deciding what was going to have to go. Very few sucessful loft raced above 4 year old. No such thing as 'Stock Lofts' or stockbirds come to that. All had to earn it's corn. Itr's perch and then it's nest box.

    torres

The most instinctive striker since the great Jimmy Greaves - regardless what the pundits spout about LINAKER, Greavies 46 Goals in 53 starts for England etc. besides this club scoring machine, he has to rate top ... before him Gento / Di Steffano etc. Now Torres is as instinctive, but has speed and will - like the modern game demands, track back.

  17. Full stop! facts whether one likes it or not. Never mind any moral or high ground, nowt can be done, mores the pity I guess, but thats how the apples fall.
  18. Of course they can! Who, or what can enforce anyone to do anything if they say they can't do it, or want to learn to do it, let alone want to! :-/ Having a clocking comittee is all well and good. But if one says they can do it themselves, then of course they can't! So regardless what you, most fanciers wish to believe, if they don't want to, or won't, how can anyone bear down upon that they have to? :o Need four, for clocking station which is fine, but YOU can't touch, or help anyone with your birds being put through, LET ALONE do it, even under their watchful eyes.. So Yes of course they can. Maybe if they had comitteed themselves to earlier you might have a couple of % worth of redress... but the end result would be the same... They can't handle ET's if they don't want to. Think personally best to let go and move on.

    gutted

Sensible post that! Realism and straight common sense. Terrible as it is, and it is, my only thought would be 'Well at least it won't be ripping another bird to pieces'!
  20. Nah you could say what you want to to him... I would. If I wanted to tell him a few home truths and call him a few unpleasantries I would! And I'd say it out loud to .... just pass the phone lol ;D ;D ;D
  21. Great value obviously. Of course there has to be class birds in the parentage, as they only buy n big. Yes brothers and sisters etc. But then these are often the better breeders than the racer turn out to be.
  22. Mike Tyson to star in Animal Planet show about pigeon racing by Clark Collis Categories: News, TV Biz, Television Animal Planet announced today that Mike Tyson has been tapped to star in a show about the sport of pigeon racing. The show is currently titled Taking on Tyson and is slated to start filming this spring. The ex-boxer has raised pigeons all his life. “I’m honored to be a part of this monumental show,†Tyson was quoted as saying. “I feel a great pride acting as an official representative for all the pigeon fanciers out there. I want people to see why we love these birds.†http://news-briefs.ew.com/2010/03/15/mike-tyson-animal-planet-pigeon-racing/ Here is another link and I found it in a boxing communication board. Mike Tyson better off with his pigeons than back in the ring http://www.examiner.com/x-20066-Pittsburgh-Fight-Sports-Examiner~y2010m3d15-Mike-Tyson-better-off-with-his-pigeons-than-back-in-the-ring They say no such thing as 'Bad Publicity'. Let's hope that right. Sure to open a few eyes eh! Mind I thought he only had Rollers / Tipplers / Tumblers ae such :-/. Never thought he raced them!
  23. Rhonfied do a Highlight. No need to read the labels etc. Just a eye spot dropped into a eye. If clear it will be out the nostril instantly. If not, then treat.
  24. Hear Hear!
  25. Won't make a scrap of difference. Double up on Carpet gripper rods, and a wire mesh in center of fence top. So only had an 1 inch and 1/2 to walk on these spikes... walked them as if not there. Electric fence. Won't walk on that eh! 8)
