We got a new stock loft - 2 sections, one for stock and one for racing spare hens. They now need fitting out. We've bought new boxes for the stock section, and put up the perches for the hens, but we want to put another floor down on top of the plywood floor before anything goes in it. Race and stock are currently mixed in the race loft in the two sections that we have corridors to minimise chance of escapes. I would be embarrassed to tell you how many spare hens we have But they did most of the point scoring in 2017 - so they will all be kept

Exactly - a minefield If you have no control over the car at all would it be the manufacturer ( or the other party in a 2 car collision for instance) But then can you drink and drive - as technically who is in charge? I hope it never comes about

Birds are still moulting - I don't even think the old racers are through the moult yet - just the stock So no medication either - just supplements - might try them on Wheatgerm oil this year - we've purchased two rather old stock cocks in the last few weeks - but didn't pay much for them (they're 9 and 10 years old) - so along as we get a pair of youngsters each from them we will have had our money's worth PS - They're red cheqs

You could try PJ Lofts - we asked about having some baskets made - and they have someone who makes them for them - we were looking for race baskets - but they had a list of sizes - there may be one to suit. A race basket was just under £150

I always use a probiotic - currently primalac - using once a week just now but more often during racing. I've used several different ones, does it make any difference - that I don't know.

Just posted on Facebook (don't want to steal your thunder Marlene - but it's a robin - being hand fed)
-
I haven't seen a robin so far this month - I am a member of a facebook group - YORKSHIRE BIRDS AND BIRDERS - the photographs are amazing It's the first time I have ever seen a mandarin duck - what a colourful one it is. Lovely photos if you ever go on facebook, I think it is an open group - so you can just go on the page and look at the photographs Nice little video Marlene

Crows are great for fore warning you. But now all the trees have been removed near me there will be nothing at all nesting near me. I've never seen a crow kill a pigeon, but I have seen them dive bomb Bop on many occasions
-
They have completely removed the trees Network Rail has phoned - they say it was a Health & Safety issue - the trees had the wrong type of leaves They won't be growing back I've lived here 15 years.............they've never bothered before
-
Have you tried Picasa. It has a collage maker

I'm told prices will substantially increase in January because of the exchange rate We have been told - as a club - to order ETS rings for next year, this year - as we usually use in excess of 500 a year We haven't as yet ordered them though

They've used a mulching machine for the branches etc - and that has been spraying out. It's currently eerily quiet though..........

Got a letter through the door from Network rail - they were going to 'do something' with the trees and vegetation along the railway line that runs behind my home. I was going on holiday - work was due to start October 2nd. Well, it's still ongoing - they've decimated the trees and removed 99% of them. I thought they would be thinning them out. Behind me is a school - never ever been visible - I now see the school fence - which means they will now see me - so no privacy there! Nesting crows, magpies, wood pigeons - with no homes. I just can't believe what they've done - they've left the damned weeds on my side and the marauding brambles and the horsetail weeds to run havoc. It just doesn't make sense - I've made a complaint, but it's a bit late for the trees. Anybody else had dealings with the likes of this (I wouldn't care but I've been trying for 3 years to get the council to prune a diseased tree in the front of my house that belongs to them - but been told it is not a priority....)

Good Luck - no word as yet - foggy at racepoint (just like home!)

You would get a better deal going elsewhere. I pay £89 for gas, electric, phone and internet with different providers - which is where I wonder what that figure was for from cemetery- it is unbelievably high just for internet, phone maybe TV. And £147 - was my mortgage 10 years ago!

What costs £89?
