  11. and Holland and Barrett http://www.hollandandbarrett.com/pages/product_detail.asp?pid=43 http://www.hollandandbarrett.com/pages/product_detail.asp?pid=1298
  12. Cos I believe giving them probiotics keeps their gut healthy more so than garlic - and given the choice between the two - thats what I'd pick they get double doses - day of basketting and double doses on their return lots of things make the down feathers fall - and I think putting garlic in the water makes the birds drink less - because they don't particularly like it
  13. Probiotics - without a doubt
  14. Yes it does
  15. the ring number has been changed from what was originally posted- it was an 'N' - then changed to an 'S'
  16. Are you sorted Lauracarmen?
  17. The club the ring belongs to is: 28501– 29300 NW100 SHAW D H S Mrs L Turner, 65 Turfland Avenue, Royton, Oldham, Lancs OL2 6EN. Tel: 0161 6334335
  18. There are a few on here who might have spare pigeons in their challenge and one loft races phillips is one
  19. Its a National Flying Club ring so you'd have to find out from the RPRA
  20. I personally never do well with young birds - no points in 2008 - just the 1 in 2007 but they did well as yearlings - its not the end of the world, having some left to race as yearlings is more important

    OLD BIRD

Taken from an articcle: Easterly winds arrive from Europe off the continental land mass. On good days when no rain is present this airflow carries little moisture as its composition is dry. These winds to some degree can be polluted if they travel over the land having picked up minute particles from industrial regions. This is evident as when viewing the landscape from a vantage point when there is an easterly wind the view is often restricted as a white haze can be seen. As a consequence visibility is limited. These flying conditions do not create a friendly environment as pigeons racing in this dry air become dehydrated.
  22. so the RPRA don't have any rules regarding vaccination then

    flagyl

You would be very disappointed with what your wife would bring back cos it wouldn't treat your pigeons for canker thats for sure
  24. you can't race for 4 weeks after they've been vaccinated (NEHU rules - don't know rules of other organisations)
  25. REDCHEQHEN

    flagyl

cheap - easy to use - and when you've popped a tablet down their throats - made sure its disappeared - you know they've been treated - in the water - they won't drink their quota - particularly young birds
