    FEEDING

If the weather is warm - the birds themselves want to eat less anyway, this coming weekend - the birds will be racing in a strong wind - currently WNW - its also not that warm, so the birds are hungrier Agree with Davy about the moult and feeding well - and the best, these are the flights we will be relying on for good racing next year.

    FEEDING

I've got various measures if you get some of those tiny jars of jam (like sample pots) or the likes of horseradish sauce (Morrisons sell them) - the small glass jars vary in size and hole between 3/4 and 1 1/4 ounces The paste jars - like Shiphams (beef spread etc (yuk!!) hold about 2 ounces I also have a set of measuring spoons - and the 15 ml spoon (tablespoon) holds half an ounce A dessertspoon - is generally 10ml - approx 10g - x 2 = 3/4 ounce (which is 21 grammes) My youngsters get 1 scoop of 15 ml in the morning - and a scoop plus a bit in the evening

    FEEDING

Its not enough - young or old birds I know there are some good fliers who fly to the corn tin - and that's all they feed, and are also not bothered about how many youngsters they get home, I feed my youngsters 1/2 oz morning and 3/4 ounce in the evening, and as much as they want Thursday - I may not win - but I get them home, as I want them as yearlings
