I was worried as he wouldn't eat, but he's looking a lot better after eating and most of the oil has gone - still a bit on his flights - but managed to get it all off his body - so he's looking a lot better (just have to get the oil off the landing board and corridor now )
Has returned from race today covered in oil - have got the oil off his beak and feet with baby wipes - bu it won't touch what he's got on feathers
wings feathers- under carriage - and on his back - think he had a bath in it
if I wash him in washing up liquid - is that him done for the rest of the season??
any other suggestions welcome
This is similar to the one I have
but it was only £39.99 at Lidl

the youngsters are off 1st Fed 29th combine Folkestone
1st Fed 13th combine Lillers
13th combine Lillers is a great grandson of the stock pair (we don't have the sire)
1st club, 2nd Fed Clermont for us this year is a granddaughter of the stock pair - we have nothing to pair her to - but we do have her sire (but not dam)
The stock pair - stayed elsewhere for 5 years as we had no room - and we've only had one youngster from them since we got them back 18 months ago - which we should have put to stock - but didn't (I blame him LOL !!)
Got an old stock pair sitting 7 day youngsters (floated eggs from 2 fed toppers)
in the hope it will stimulate the old stock pair into producing (had all clear eggs from them this year)
we've split our youngsters this week
they've got raging hormone levels !!!
the cocks are still only doing 20 minutes am - 30 minutes pm
but the hens are tearing the skies out !!!
