    ok bob took delivery of a double west coast combine winner this week and he is a cracker,hopefully wont be too hungover the morra bob. :) :)

    hi alf just back from the campsie bowling club with the wife,there was a very good turn on and i had a few magners and also a few glayva n ice bit half cut but going to watch the comic strip on sky gold. :) going through the doos in the morning and getting ready for an assualt on 2010. :) :)

    got my dad a copy for his birthday about 25 years ago,he looks it out every winter and has a wee read. :) great book.

  11. won by john bosworths the graduate,2000 was a very tough messac race with few in race time.l :) :)
  12. got an awful lot of races to get through.
  13. cutting back a bit of late as ma dad is no gettin any younger,maybe 20 darkness ybs all to fly programme and snfc ybn,and 35ish younger ones trained and raced to about 100 miles. :) :)
  14. central southern classic was formed in the late 70s,this was long before the national flying club adopted the mid day libs.

  17. president JOHN HOUSTON was there and layed a wreath on behalf of the SCOTTISH NATIONAL FLYING CLUB. :) :)
  18. have again read this thread which appears to have gone on a mazy run, :-/ :-/ 1 the race was to comemerate the war dead. 2 any deficit incurred was to be costed by a third party. 3 the PRESIDENT of the snfc was with the convoy from start to finish. 4 the race was a complete success with regards returns. these are only a few key points imo,on a personnel note i had 4 birds at the race and 3 of the 4 were clocked within 1 hour in the morning with the other bird arriving a few days later,this was for me and my father our most disapointing national of the season,neverless the race was WITHOUT DOUBT one of the snfc and also lanarkshire feds most successful races of the last 10 years :) :)hope ypres is included in the snfc programme for 2010.

  20. all diplomas are awarded equally in each region ie 1/10 so in this case location is no disadvantage. ;) good luck for 2010.
  21. diploma 1 for every 10 entries,changed maybe 5 or 6 years agofrom 15. ;)
