think you kirky boys went to the townhead school. ;D ;D

have watched this post unfold into the usual bickering and tit for tat insults,(nothing new there),from the very start of pigeon racing fanciers have been excluded from clubs and feds for all different reasons most of which are totally unjust and this i am sure will always be the case, these mere obsticles are sent to try us and only encourage good fanciers to go on to greater things. ;) ;) ;)
-
watched them a few weeks ago at firhill and they gave us a doing, pass the ball well and the lad cardle is a handful. ;) ;)
-
well done to all and good luck for the next 100 years. :) :) :) :) :)

nice to have all the birds like soldiers but maybe these birds wanting to nest elsewhere shows a bit of character, one of my yearling cocks would not take a telling and after trying to move him my dad and me let him nest on the floor, last week in june he won 2nd federation open dorchester 370mls and 1 week later scored appledore 400mls,nearly 800mls in a week for this yearling cock, the following year the cock flew to a different loft and was less than average,at 3 yr old he was back in the old loft nesting on the floor first week in july 1st region nantes 614mls on the shift,so imo let the birds be happy. ;)

let them nest where they are happy. ;) ;)

no problem with what the glasgow boys do frank they have always been thinkers, not sure which combines are still on the go in scotland????
-
yep everyone has an opinion frank but commonsense must prevail, big feds frank in scotland?? dont no which feds have enough birds to race from the english coast :-/as for the combines in scotland the last one i flew had us lads competing against fanciers 40 miles east of us imo much more chance flying in your section in the national. :-/ still think that there is a place for inland nationals. :) :)

yes the snfc was founded on long distance racing but who says we cant have a programme to suit all scottish fanciers in 2010 be it inland or channel racing or both?????? as for the prize change being set at 1/10 as against the previous 1/15 imo this is the correct ratio check out most of the other uk nationals and classic organisations and you will see 1/10 1/8 1/7 so are these organisations mickey mouse????????? going by last years programme we had 300 400 500 600 mile racing for most snfc men!!!!,pigeon fanciers in scotland are thin on the ground and the national must cast its net to all corners. ;) ;)
-
i think walter we live in the past as scottish national fanciers, gone are the days when we had 5 or 6000 birds at the french races, the national must appeal to every fancier in scotland and that means every fancier has a choice whether it is 300,400 500 or 600 mile racing, yes walter we were all novices at one time.the birds i sent to the distance races in 2009 competed mostly from one of the two inland nationals last year, the alternative being a federation 270-300 mile race(not much point) so i dont see a problem with inland nationals. :) :)
-
cant agree with dropping the inland nationals, the snfc programme has races for all fanciers in scotland, fanciers just a year or two in the sport can compete at national level through the inland and yb nats and hopefully will go on and have a go at the french/belgian races, the club i previously flew in had the same 4 or 5 diehards at the nationals then in 1997 from the very first inland nat, frome i think there were 16 fanciers competing, the programme is taylormade for scottish fanciers lets not tinker with it. ;) :) :)
