We bought a Koopman hen from Longdells Lofts and a Van Loon Hen from Andy Gregson's mate. An outstanding pair of birds from Luc Van Den Plas himself.

It's an extra 50 quid for power on top of the hundred and twenty quid a metre for the stall. But it's a big downer for the many who suffered the bigger losses.

Next year, we are going to lock all the pens up and have a smaller stand, yes I agree with the CCTV, it would be a good idea.

It was a good show this year, Kev and I sold all our birds. We had a lot of good feedback from fanciers returning to buy more birds. Good reports that many of our surplus race birds and late breds have been producing the goods, breeding winners for fanciers up in Scotland and Southern Ireland. It was such a shame that show was subject to many thefts. The Bird Above ring number NWHU12A8612, was stolen from our stall, the stall across, had 5 stolen, the stall directly opposite who were selling custom made traps, had their laptop stolen, with all their photos of the trap installations on it. I felt so sorry for one guy a previous customer of ours, who always buys birds from us. Came to visit us and told us about some woman outside a chippy where he had gone for something to eat on Saturday night. He said she walked up to him crying an upset and dipped his pocket robbing over four hundred quid.

Kev and I will be there on the KJ Lofts stand, looking forward to meeting lots of new faces and seeing lots of the old ones. LOL Come and say hello.

Cheers, but, I'm going to duplicate the design that we did on Kev's allotment. With the sloping cages, the interior design was based on this.

It's got to be Lancashire Rose, this bird was a legend. All great birds. I've got to admit, I've had some great stockies off him in the past.

There is a lot ply on the market at the mo and to be quite honest, it's poor quality and will begin to blister in no time. Due to the poor resin resin they are using. A lot of places are now doing feather edge boards pretty cheap. It's already treated, so you dont have to rush treating it. It's geat for lapping having a taper to the edge of the board. It comes in various lengths and is easy to work with. The only downside is, that you will have to line the inside.

Having almost completed the stock loft, I have now decided to build a loft at home. Is there any fanciers from the Southport area, who can give me any advice on a club to join around Birkdale.

Not as many as previous years About 50 pairs. Yes that's right NWHU.

From my point of view and in my neck of the woods, in Lancashire. It would have to be Andy Gregson. Fanciers have been doing well with his birds in Malta. As well as being consistent in the One Loft Races.

We have a huge advantage with our birds, as they have been split up for a year, as they were not bred from last year, so I feel they should go down extremely quick.

I think it's a lot easier to work with and doesn't warp the same.

3rd of January for rings. The new rings being a little wider seem to help.
