  5. http://www.xcweather.co.uk/GB/forecast looking better than today, wind changing tonight!
  6. strains dont mean anything mate, there are good and bad in every strain, yes there are "strains" that will perform better at different distances, but if you gave well bred birds of most strains to the best fanciers, they would win with them, but like has been said go to someone localish, who is winning with these birds "today", at the distance you want to win with, and you wont go far wrong. ;-)
  7. looks like a stong south east wind tom? sending 8 cocks, i think were at yeovil again 153 miles, looks like patchy rain but should be o.k with the strong wind forecast. good luck everyone

  10. what causes feather ro then? and why only on the chest/crop?
  11. think ar fed is 2p per pigeon per week, which i think is more than reasonable.
  12. i have have got it in the garage somewhere, i will try and dig it out for you at the weekend, if i can find it its yours mate.

  14. i would if i were you now mate, with all the work your putting into them, thay need the correct nutrients, which depuritive doesnt have, and you have the longer races coming up aswell.

  17. well done albear, the birds look o.k ish, but would look alot better in my loft, if you get to many im sure they would be welcome in my sons loft. ;-)
  18. im over it now! ;-) :-)
  19. if your lucky they will be o.k, but can cause bother when you fetch y.bs in from various different sources, as all birds contain different bacteria, and when in contact with another y.b can make them sick. good luck with them im sure you will be fine, but try to keep em apart for at least a week why you treat the new batch for the normal, cocci, canker, worms. all the best
  20. R.I.P Kermit my dear friend! tony i didnt want to find out like this, wish you had told me personally first, rather than broadcast on a public forum! im so devastated im lost for words. :-(
  21. have you been racing them? they should be o.k feeding them like you are, as there doing alot of work, so should be really muscled up, i would cut there training down a bit mate, are they on natural or widdowhood? if on proper widowhood shouldnt need much training atall, as they will fly around home o.k, "if there right"? without looking at them its really hard to say. but if in doubt leave them at home!
  22. plenty of cloud cover, and cool 10 0 c, still east in the wind, but ive been feeding differnt this week as on monday it gave 21mph ne wind for sat, now its 20mph sse wind! total different ball game! you cant win hey! :-(
  23. is that you or your birds mate?? lol ;-)
  24. so you fly them in the morning for an hour? and then a 25 mile toss 4/5 days a week? mmm how many races have they had? and what are you feeding? do they do the hours fly off their own backs? or do you force fly? 25 miles would be a bit far daily in the north east wind we have had this week, that will make em look a bit miserable, especially yearlings
  25. sorry to hear that mate, what do you mean by not looking right? but yes that would be the right think to do, but if there is something wrong with them im not sure a week would turn them around mate. bit more info please?
